“Why am I on the floor?”
Spock shook his head. “Let me help you up.” He stood and reached down to pull Jim up and into his arms. “That is much better, is it not?”
Jim sighed and leaned against him. “Yes. Much. Spock.”
“Yes?”
“It-it happened again, didn’t it?”
Spock swallowed heavily. “To what do you refer?”
“You know. I-I lost it again.”
Jim’s voice was soft and filled with pain. It made Spock ache.
“It is my fault, darling. My meetings took longer than I realized. And I allowed them to talk me into dining with them.”

Oh no… poor Jim… the photo that accompanies today’s piece makes me think that the sensation I got at the previous update, i.e. this story was probably about older Jim and Spock and, alas, some heavy issues that may arise in the old age, is not so far away from reality after all. fantastic writing as usual. Thank you

Yes it deals with Old Married Spirk, there are also clues in the tags. It is a hard subject, but even then there is such love.

This is so heartbreaking! Poor Jim, living this way! Poor Spock being the witness to this! Perhaps he can help anchor Jim’s mind with a meld. Are they bonded in this story? If not, perhaps a bond would help. ❤

Yes they bonded years ago when they were young. Unfortunately, the bond doesn’t stop the effects of aging on humans, but Spock does what he can
