Recently, Suvoc had contacted Spock about coming for a visit and Spock had wondered if it would be a good idea. Perhaps he should mention it to Jim.

β€œJim.”

β€œYes?”

β€œSuvoc has indicated a desire to come for a visit.”

For a moment, Jim looked confused and Spock’s heart sank.

β€œOur son,” he said quietly.

β€œI know,” Jim said defensively. β€œHe…doesn’t he live with us?”

β€œNo, ashaya. He moved out, remember?”

β€œOh. Yeah.” But he said it in such a way that Spock did not know if he remembered or just said what Spock wanted to hear. β€œGood. He should. I would like to see him.”

This story is tugging at my heartstrings! It’s sharing as Spock’s devotion time Jim as he becomes more vulnerable. ❀
This hits home me for me. I work with a mostly elderly population and oftentimes it's very sad to see people diminish as their memories go.
It's especially heartbreaking for their close relatives and friends.

I'm thinking that Alzheimer's should be curable by the 23rd century, though. Stem cell research these days is working on it. … Just saying! Looking forward to the next chapter of this story. ❀

I didn’t mean you’re writing something that’s a waste of time, it’s just me holding on to hope for an eventual cure or halt in the progression of the disease process… But if there is no cure in sight for Jim, I’m sure Spock will be at his side throughout it all. Where else could he ultimately be?!! ❀

Where else indeed. Thanks for the clarification πŸ™‚
It’s pretty personal for me right now so I’m a wee bit sensitive. I’d love it if they found a cure too. For that, for cancer, for TB, for Parkinsons, etc. Diseases suck and those that affect your mental state are amongst those that that suck most of all.

I feel it personally myself! Someone very close to me is going through depression and it breaks my heart. Disease that effect your mental health deeply effect my heart. ❀ ❀

Last sentence should read: Diseases that effect mental health, deeply effect my heart!

I really need to proofread before I hit post
