Ramblings, April 08, 2019

Please bear with me as I work on the conclusion of Bitter Frost. I am not sure when I will post the next chapter. Perhaps today, perhaps tomorrow. It will depend on how much I can get done on it.

I had some days off from work so I am a bit swamped right now, though I do intend to write at lunch.

I am fasting today so I am grumpy!

Once Bitter Frost is finished (I have it listed as 3 more chapters but if I can get it done in 2, I will), I will probably update The Swap, before moving on to The Ties That Bind. But that is in the distant future right at the moment.

Coming up this Saturday is Aria’s 4th birthday party (friend’s grand niece), so we will be going to that. I am very underthrilled, but you do what you have to do, I guess.

It’s warm today. I mean seriously warm. Like 90. Sigh. Guess our cold weather and rain is done now. Supposed to be hit by severe wind tomorrow too.

No movie this week or next but after that I should get back into it. I have lots to watch at home, so it’s fine.

Ramblings March 31 2019

I made pea soup. Yes, I did. It’s made with spring peas. It was not terrible.

Where M is he gets no phone service. I am very very sad. We’ve exchanged a couple of emails though.

I was challenged to write a new chapter of Primal Lust. It’s coming soon and may shock the more feint of heart.

I will also be posting chapters of The Mysterious One and My Devotion. I did already finish a flash for Friday. I think that’s about all I can manage for this week, honestly, since I am watching stuff.

I watched all of I Am the Night. Chris was fantastic in it. And so was the little actress in the main roll. Creepy story though.

I’m catching up on the first season of Discovery as well. I watched Rio Bravo and some Harry Potter movies also. We’ll see what else I can get up to.

And now we’re going into April already. Time flies.

Walk With Me, End of March

This morning’s walk was shorter than usual as I have some things to get done this morning, but I might go again later. We shall see.

Everything is in full bloom and it smells incredible out. What I am sure none of you know, one of my favorite smells of anything are orange blossoms and they are abundant here at this time of year. It was amazing.

Ramblings March 25 2019

The Flash is done (very short, I am afraid) and scheduled.

Best Friends is done. And yay. Part 2 will debut in the coming months.

As I looked at my spreadsheet of concluded stories, I saw that I am up to 135 completed. This makes me very happy, because it means I have way more done than hanging out there. So go me!

This is going to be an emotionally challenging week for me as M leaves for his visit to his aunt’s Friday morning. It’s for a week and I’ll survive, but you know. I am like a weepy Jim over parting with Spock.

Next up I hope is the update for Bitter Frost. I am looking to get that one done soon as it’s time to get the ball rolling on the conclusion and Spock being reunited with his captain. Then um, likely The Swap, Transfer Request and Maybe, Probably.

Sunday night we had dinner with the cousin at Corner Bakery. Was nice enough to sit outside.

In the continuing saga for my purchase with Paramount Movies, I was able to transfer the digital copies of all three to VuDu and Fandango. Fine. Of course I have hard copies of all three, so woopiefuckingdo. But I had also purchased digital Bonus Features for all three movies. This has disappeared off the face of the earth. Not on Vudu, not on Fandango. Ultraviolet does not list them. Only place that does is Paramount. I have now emailed them twice. Nothing. Emailed Ultraviolet. Expect to hear nothing. Basically I am being screwed out of stuff I paid for. It sucks. Paramount is EVIL.

I know…More Rambles, but I Have to…

A few things to ramble about…

Back when Paramount offered for me to buy their special edition Star Trek Beyond in digital that came with extended content, I fell for the sales pitch. It also included a digital copy of 2009 and Into Darkness as well as cut scenes, etc. And the deal was that I got the movie before it was released to anyone else, so, naturally, I took this bait. It was through a service called Ultraviolet.

Fast forward to now. Ultraviolet is closing down. And my content? Well, Paramount has informed me I can’t access it through their site. I have to sign up for a whole other account somewhere else and link back to my movies that are on the closing site in order to retain them. Sigh.

Now I have Blu Ray copies of all three movies (in fact several copies of some because a certain M keeps buying them for me), but not all the extra stuff Paramount put in the digital copies. But you know what this all says to me? Streaming and digital sucks. Because you can still get screwed on your content. So when the next damn service goes out of business, there go my digital copies I bought from PARAMOUNT once again.

It took me a while to get my Flash done for this Friday but I finally finished it today and got it scheduled. Last week didn’t launch and I had to do it manually, so let’s cross our fingers it launches this time.

Because of that, I have no new chapters done. I’ll work on it.

M and I have Friday off and we are going in to Ventura for lunch with my mom and sister. Should be a nice day.

And speaking of, at the end of June is my sister’s 60th birthday and she has requested to go to Harrah’s Casino and Resort in San Diego for the occasion. We have agreed. She gets three free nights and so we are all rooming together to save money, obviously. If you say no, she cries, so naturally we said yes. Anyhow, I will be mostly out of commission June 30 until July 5th. We return the 3rd, but then M’s cousin does a thing at her place for Independence Day (their town even does their fireworks then), so we go to that, and then there is the 4th where we do a BBQ etc. So that week is pretty much shot. You have been warned, so mark your calendars!

I think Jamie’s birthday is the 1st so if she wants a fic, she better tell me well in advance and that goes for anyone else, again. Please do let me know. I don’t have a memory so you must help me.

Saturday of this weekend, M and I are going to this thing at one of the local farms called Tomatomania. I guess they are supposed to have every variety of tomato available for sale to plant for yourself. Since M is a gardener and I love tomatoes, it’s a social event for both of us. No making fun of us now. We know we are nerds.

If I am not as super friendly as usual (ha like I ever am) it is because I am quite overwhelm–er, fulfilled, right now. Please forgive me. It is not because you are not loved.

Anyway, I think I’ve rambled enough.

St Patrick’s Day Ramblings 03/17/2019

Well. This week I really plan on doing the next chapter of My Heart’s a Virgin. That is absolutely next. Then another chapter, maybe two to conclude Best Friends. But at least one.

After that, we shall see what I want to work on. I’ll need a flash for Friday. There’s one coming for Kris on Tuesday too. That one is written.

Today I have laundry and eating and um, well, whatever, I guess. HA HA

I really really want to post new stuff. I am SO resisting. But it’s hard. Not going to lie.

Monday Rambles

Upcoming this week in updates will be the next chapter of Best Friends (as I have promised this will be completed by March 31st and I absolutely mean that), Transfer Request, The Ties That Bind, a Flash, and perhaps a new chapter of Kirk’s Children. Those are my plans for the week, writing wise.

I have so many stories in my head, I am trying not to bombard you with new ones too much but know they are out there and coming.

The best part of the time change is the more day light. I absolutely hate November and December when I come home at 5 and it’s dark.

My moving my sister’s rug has been changed until Saturday the 16th due to the possibility of rain this past weekend. I think that will finally be the end of the rain. Spring will be here soon and I can’t wait. I am tired of winter!

On the nearing conclusion list is When I Loved You, so look for that in the next couple of weeks too. Bitter Frost will only have a few more to go too. I am sad about that because I want that Jim to be happy with a boy but it’s just not going to happen for him. I might be ending My Heart’s a Virgin within the next month to two months too. So there are endings coming, to be replaced by new, of course. But I think you should all be pleased at how often I update something!

Otherwise, nothing supery dupery new to report. M leaves on the 29th for a week. During that time I also have an eye doctor appointment. Yes, we live such exciting lives!

March 08, 2019 Ramblings

I know it didn’t get a whole lot of reaction, but Didn’t We Almost Have It All was updated yesterday. I figure there are a couple of reasons. It’s been an angst fest, honestly, and that chapter certainly was, plus, yeah, it’s been going on for a while, I get that. Which actually leads me to the question in my own head how much longer it should go. Jim needs to talk to Bones again, to check on him, and there’s more stuff he could deal with Spock about, and the plain truth of it is, I’m not really ready to let this Jim and Spock and even Bones go yet. So it’s a dilemma. At what point are you simply indulging yourself with no real purpose? I don’t know.

I’ve started the next chapter of The Experiment. It’s a much happier, fluffier chapter, leading to the conclusion of that one. I could write on them forever, really, but there are other Academy fics waiting in line to show their pretty faces, so alas, I must let go.

It sure was hard to get out of bed this morning. M got a new phone, the 7, which you know I know Apple has passed by, but it was an improvement on his old one, believe me, but it was a pain to set up and he was in a very bad mood, and even said he was just going to send it back. I got it up and running after some curt words between us, LOL, and believe me, he’s quite apologetic and grateful to me now.

Today I booked our favorite hotel in Morro Bay, but the day we are going is not until October. See we decided we might be able to go in the fall, so I recalled that there was one year we were up there when one of the nearby towns had a scarecrow festival. Basically the whole town decorates scarecrows all over. Some are really really impressive. We had such a good time looking at all their creations and it’s just fun. So I thought I should book it for when it’s going on. It’s only one night but I hope we can make it. I have to cancel by October 15 (the night is the 19th), so we shall see.

After I get the Chapter of The Experiment done, I intend to rest my brain the rest of the weekend. Mindless fun will be on the menu. And then back at all the writing on Monday. I think up next is The Ties That Bind but not positive.

In the meantime, be at peace.

Rambling for the first of March

A lovely artist has been doing some illustrations for some of my stories and her latest one is for Didn’t We Almost Have it All, please, go and check it out, Artwork.

Coming up this first week in March is another chapter of Maybe, Probably. Also the next chapters for When I Loved You, Didn’t We Almost Have It All, and The Experiment (as you know I am looking to wrap this one up soon). Also a new Flash. Don’t know what yet, but I am sure I will surprise both myself and you.

Today I had off for a bunch of errands I had to do and to cuddle with Luna, who has become so spoiled and needy, you wouldn’t believe it. I returned some shoes I had ordered online that didn’t work for me, went to the grocery store, another grocery store and the PetSmart for food for Luna. While I was there I went to the cat adoptions. They were behind glass but there were two teenager cats in there with an employee and when I peeked in at them their eyes got super big. HA HA. Poor kitties.

I have had too much coffee I think because I am jittery and emotional. It’s weird. I think I had something of a meltdown on social media. Oh well. I think it will be best for me to stay away a couple of days, for the most part. I did unfollow someone today on there because I couldn’t even remember why I was still following her in the first place, HA.

Supposed to rain all weekend. I am ready for SUNNY SPRING.

Kris’s birthday is this month so I need to write her a flash. Please note, I will take requests for Birthday Flashes but you MUST remind me well in advance when your birthday is. I should remember. I absolutely agree. But I don’t. So if you want something tell me ahead of time and what you’d like in it. For Kris, I know she likes hurt/comfort so that is what she will get.
