The small boy came out of the bathroom and walked straight into the living room.
“Did you wash your hands?” Jim asked.
“Yes, Daddy.”
Jim smiled slightly. “Let me see.”
The boy held up his hands, palms out.
“Good. Perfect. You hungry, David?”
David nodded, eagerly.
“What do you want to eat?”
David scrunched up his face in thought.
They both turned toward the door when they heard the sound of a hover car door slamming.
“Is that…?”
David turned away from Jim, food forgotten and rushed to the door just as it opened.
Jim smiled. “Welcome home, Spock.”

I was gonna start with Awww! too, but eveningstar beat me to it! And I don’t want to plagiarize…but still, that’s my feeling.
At first I was thinking this is the very tatted Spock with Jim from Stranded 3, a peak into their happiness. And though it’s probably NOT, since the boy is David, I might like keep it as my (yuck) headcanon (you know how I hate that word). It’s probably leans to be more like Spock and Jim and David in The Sight.
I just know it’s absolutely beautiful.
