Spock approached the apartment building, glancing up at the windows of the fourth floor. He entered through the double automatic doors and then rode the lift up.
Perhaps it would be a waste of his time as Spock wasn’t even sure he was home.
He turned right on the floor and stepped up to number 402. He made a fist and knocked.
After a few seconds he heard footsteps approach. Spock straightened.
The door opened and one blue eye peered out.
“Cadet Kirk?”
Kirk opened the door wider and stared out at Spock. “Yeah.”
“I believe I have your PADD.”

I definitely see this as a great way to begin a relationship. I’m thinking that Spock is a professor, Jim is not in his class otherwise Spock would just wait for him to come to his class the next time to give him his pad. Perhaps he found it in the hall or in the library. Maybe Jim dropped it so he would find it? Hmmmm, that’s another possibility. Spock had to have opened it in order to know it was Jim’s. I wonder if he found anything on it I would’ve piqued his interest in Jim.
Jim needs to invite him in to thank him over a beverage. Time for them to have a chat or go out for coffee. ❤

Or perhaps they were at the same place and Spock accidentally picked up Jim’s PADD instead! Many choices!

Haha. Quite the personal touch there. I never had a professor return anything I accidentally dropped or left. Thank goodness, cause I woulda freaked OUT!
I don’t think Jim will be anything but grateful though.
And I was thinking Jim left it behind WITH an intriguing, oh maybe half written note on it……with his address maybe?
