So, as you know I did two updates for All I Ever Wanted yesterday. That was in anticipation of spending much of the rest of the week on flash fics through May.
I have May 3, 10, 24th, and 31st done now. I am about to tackle the one for May 17th, which is based on a suggestion JJ sent to me. Once again, thanks everyone for the suggestions they are extremely helpful. The 17th will be longer than typical and will be multiple parts. That’s why I got the flash done for the 24th and 31st as those were short! (And update: Yippee! All May flashes are now done. And Part 2 of the long flash will debut in June. Go me!)
This weekend, Saturday, my great niece Quinn turns 3 and so we are off to BFE for her birthday celebration. Her parents live like 2 hours away from us in good traffic at a place called Redlands. Her birthday is at some kiddie play gym thing where you have to wear socks inside and no shoes. We only have to be there a couple of hours but since it takes 2 to get there and 2 to get back, it’s a long ass day.
Tonight we are seeing Shazam. Looks cute so that should be fun. And that’s pretty much it for news here.

I’m embarrassed, I don’t know what BFE means. Or can’t think of it right now.
I thought this was going to be about Luna, but even though it’s not, it’s fun to see her. She looks so pretty (her eyes are mesmerizing, totally different from Liberty’s), and maybe she’s not going through hairball syndrome right now the way mine is with all his long hair (though Mouse is short haired and he was shedding enough to build a second cat this weekend). Liberty cried off and on all night, not understanding what the heck is going on with his tummy! I think it’s funny that an indoor cat, where the temp stays the same pretty much year round, still sheds in the spring like an outdoor cat. Weird. Ok – your ramble wasn’t about cats, anyway.
So even though it’s a kiddie gym, is there an adult area where you guys can jump around, too? The one where my grandchild’s BD party has been before was like that. He and his friends loved it! Quinn is such a pretty name. I hope she has a blast for her BD. They’re so much fun to watch, running around place to place, giggling, so happy, jumping around. I hope you guys have fun.
I know my prompt was more involved that you had asked for. I was thinking you might have to split it between two Fridays. I think/hope you’re going to have fun with it. I hope it’s more fun to write than stressful.

Butt Fuck Egypt, meaning it is WAY FAR lol and out in the boonies.

HA HA, No, I just decided to include one of my latest pictures of Luna. Crazy was long haired and so she used to get terrible hair balls too. Luna sheds but not the same way!
I think some of the adults participate, but not me! ha ha. They did the same for her first birthday. Last year was at Shakey’s Pizza but this year it’s back to the kiddie gym. Quinn is a cutie too!
I might have to split it, we shall see!

Ok, I feel better because there’s no way in hell I’d ever heard of BFE before, so it’s not just that I forgot! As far as I know, we don’t say that in Texas. Or if we do, nobody I ever hung out with did!

Wow! That’s a long round trip for a kiddie party! When my kids were little, their birthday parties were only for their friends and a few of their friends’ parents. But of course, I have zero social life… so you can’t go by my example! Lol!

She’s 3, not sure how many friends of her own she has at this point. And being family, and this is their one and only kid, I think they feel like they want to and need to invite family. I just wish they didn’t live so damn far away!

Ivan, you’d be surprised on the social life and “friends” network of toddlers these days. Thanks to pre-K, playgroups, library programs, Gymboree… my three kids had more “friends” at age 3 than I had my entire adult life! Sigh!! Lol!
