I love music that inspires me to write. I have a whole long playlist for Star Trek.
It’s like 90 something degrees and my co-worker is wearing knee high leather boots like it’s fucking January.
Sometimes I wish I could control myself and not write fifty million Spirk stories. And I still want to write that Winter story I’ve been talking about.
Neighbor came over yesterday to say they’d had a massive leak and flood and since we share a wall we should check that wall for drywall damage. Sigh.
My plans for a beautiful romantic weekend at the end of August in Morro Bay may or may not be ruined. I have booked it but now the sister wants to visit. Grrr.
Recent movies I’ve seen and liked: Cars 3, Despicable Me 3, Spiderman.
Movies I’ve seen and didn’t like: I Saw the Light. I love Tom Hiddleston but this movie sucked. Sorry, Tom. Maybe it was the subject matter (Hank Williams).
Movies I still intend to see this summer: Dunkirk and The Dark Tower
I was supposed to get a new computer at work yesterday. The one I have is ancient and unbelievably slow. They set me up to get a new one more than a month ago on yesterday’s date. The one tech copied my stuff to transfer to the new one. And then…he sent me a message saying my computer was missing. I heard nothing else the rest of the day. I emailed him this morning to ask for an update. He responded just now that they still haven’t found it and that he basically has not ETA for me to get my new computer now. Unbelievable.
No writing update today. And I am going to lunch with my co-worker so I won’t even be working on anything. Tomorrow I will have a flash fic up but I warn you, it is short. (and sweet).

You always find the best music. I’d heard that song before, but not really listened. Now I’m all. ooooooh about it. (which I’m sure surprises you not at all) Music is an insanely good inspiration.
You say you wish you didn’t write 50 million fics…I wish I had your ability to wrist multiple stories at a time. It would make parts of my life easier. I love your fics, so I’m glad every time a new inspiration hits you!

So they lost the computer they ordered for you? Incompetent IT ;). And I’m allowed to say that, I work in IT. Different stuff, but still.
My boys have watched Spiderman (and took grandma with them, because number two isn’t old enough yet without adult supervision and I had so been hoping they wouldn’t and would go with me instead…). I got to watch Wonderwoman with hubby and my eldest instead a few weeks ago. And who would’ve thought, we all loved it. For different reasons probably, but who cares :). And then the four of us watched Transformers and nah, didn’t really like that one. I doubt we’ll watch another one.
I want to watch The Dark Tower as well.
Life just sucked for a while. I’ll try to be around again some more. 🙂

I love that song, I have used it as inspiration for my writing at times. Jim comes to mind often for me with this song as well. I wish I had time to write more stories or balance them as well as you do. I wear too many hats at home/work to make the time I need.
Sorry to hear about the IT department losing your computer for work.
I did not like ‘I saw the Light” and I am huge Tom Hiddleston fan. I just could not get into the movie. I have met him on three occasions and given him two of my paintings of his likeness for charity. My favorite performances by Hiddleston other than Avengers and Thor are “War Horse” and “The Deep Blue Sea.”

I know what you mean about music. So many songs I hear, seem to fit the Spirk theme. Although, sometimes I can’t figure out who the artist is or the name of the song, so it makes me crazy!

One person’s obsession is another person’s life-changing lifeline. Who can explain how a mere 3 months can change so much, give them a totally new friend they never even imagined existed, with whom they can laugh and cry and fight and misunderstand and make up and bitch and moan and groan about stuff (and each other! ha), laugh and cry more and read and read and share, not to mention give them such insight into people they never even knew they could/would care about.
And not to doubly mention who had only known them like 4 weeks, and became the greatest champion of their life, standing up for them verbally, going through such a painful thing with them (rather than run for the hills, like anyone else would do), hating the ones who caused it – just because you are that kind of friend and person so quickly. I’ll never understand. I’m just going to appreciate it.
I think you are under the skin of a lot of people in here and out there (in a good way). The bond is alive and well! (Till the next fight, anyway! haha – the day is still young.)
I am deeply grateful for those 50 million spirk stories, though my computer seems to be about 49,999,880 stories short of that. I’ll keep an eye out for the rest of them. (Although, without that new friend, one’s reaction to WW would have been so very totally different. Sorry about that! Didn’t mean to use that language with you! haha 😉 )

I’ve heard it a lot. They play it a lot in Vegas, I think because the band hails from there. Anyway, when I got home from there I got the song and it was then that I started noticing the lyrics and I went well hell, that’s perfect

Contrary to popular belief I have a full life with a job and everything so I do not do nothing but write on fan fiction. SMH. LOL.
I will get to that story some day as soon as I have some breathing room, which most definitely is NOT now.

I really enjoyed Despicable Me 3. We go every Tuesday almost. Movies are like $5 and $6 on those days near us.
I think someone actually absconded with the computers and they don’t want to admit it. I love the word “absconded” and yes I had a glass of wine at lunch today, what of it LOL
