So you aren’t getting or haven’t gotten yet anyway, until now, my usual what’s coming up for the week post. And that’s because…well nothing.
I’m still working on the TOS flash for November 6th and then I have the follow-ups to that and they are getting a little more complicated because of reasons and it’s taking up all of my creative energy right now.
What that means is, even though Transfer Request is next to be updated at AO3, I just don’t know when that’s going to happen.
Besides the November TOS flashes, I will soon have to get back to my Jim/Prime Holiday story and then the 25 days of Christmas for December, so needless to say the stories on AO3 are going to take a small hit. I will try to continue to update at least one a week. But I can’t promise more right now.
But coming up this Wednesday here, is my conclusion to Clueless Spock and then my final song flash, Dancing on My Own. Yes, I am revealing the song. So there’s definitely stuff to look forward to, I think.
Weird week for me too because we are massively packing for the move this weekend. I will be leaving work a bit early Friday as they want us out.
Finally, this Saturday I will be doing the cheesecake. I am so looking forward to it. Got all the ingredients and it should be a nice weekend for it. Very fall like for us.
Unfortunately, tomorrow they are predicting our infamous Santa Ana Winds and 98 degrees. That should be the end of it for a bit, I hope. Crossing my fingers and toes. But that’s also our famous FIRE WEATHER.
When I was a kid, I’ll not forget, there one year where the fires were quite bad in my area all the way through October. The sky was orange it was so filled with smoke. That year my parents were supposed to go to a Halloween Party at the Elks Lodge (my dad was an officer there and bingo caller) but the fire got so close to the Lodge and the famous Hopetown (look it up, quite famous because many old time westerns were filmed there) that they canceled everything. So while yeah we do get warmer weather then we used to, fires have been an issue for me in California my whole life.

Good luck on the cheesecake. Where does the line start to get our piece(s)?
Well, I miss your updates but still, you gotta do what you gotta do. So do I.
I mean, this week, I have to wash my hair. Sometime. I mean, I haven’t figured how I’m going to fit it in between reading and playing games. But I’ll work it out…somehow. (Retirement is a B.)
So I understand being so busy you can’t really keep to a schedule. 🛀 (that looks more like a scorpion from here, but…)
My weekend was shot, and the kids were so apologetic that everything happened with the extended family hospital emergency. But I told them, I hate to tell you this, but it’s only going to get worse as all us parents are aging out! It will happen pretty often, at least on that side, from here on to their end. Things are getting progressively worse rapidly.
So now, I realize I too need an away bag. Being stuck out of town with NOTHING you need is not my choice of how to handle it.
So no pressure, but, you know, I’m old and I really need to know how some of these fics end!!!! 🙃

Was going to tell you to keep an overnight bag in your car. I forgot to!
I know for 1000% fact you want me to write that Jim/Prime story.
I can help you with the endings. They lived happily ever after. The end. Until one of them dies, probably Jim cause he’s not Vulcan, though he might live longer because of Khan’s blood. There.

Whew. All’s well that ends well.
Except….I could swear I gave you that ending for all your WIPs at least and a half ago.
Oh well. I can die happy at peace now.
You’re the greatest friend!
(Oh, and yeah, I’m counting the nanoseconds till the Jim/Prime story. Something to live for. I’ll take my vitamins.)

*wow – my sorry a** computer totally cut out “a year” before and a half ago. Weird. But you get my drift. Let’s say 18 months ago and call it a day.

The weather is such a fickle beast.
And I’d still take blizzards over fires.
Gimme that clueless Spock! I can’t wait.
I am very much really a lot looking forward to the flashes you’ve got coming up. And yay fall! The best time of the year. Except Christmas of course. And I am so very much looking forward to the 25 days of Christmas. Yay yay yay!!

Listen, don’t stress yourself out over a self-imposed production schedule. Seriously dude! We all love your updates and flashes, and eagerly await them, but don’t push yourself. Deep cleansing breath, Ivan. Lol! Feel better?
I have an old friend from high school that writes a monthly blog and every year he puts together an inspirational Christmas blog, but he always schedules it for the end of January. Still just as inspirational just on a different timeline.
The last three days we’ve had temperatures around 90°. But now, today I go outside and there’s tons of leaves down on my driveway! Noooooooo! Tomorrow and the rest of the 10 day outlook it will be in the 70’s.
Hope your weather is good and fire season is uneventful!
And Yeah.cheesecake! Care to share the recipe?
Have a good week! 🖖❤️

Just listened to the vnext song for your song fiction, Dancing on my Own. It always seemed very Spirky to me. I’m crying already. Please let me know if it’s got a sad ending, so I can prepare my battered heart. Hoping it’s not sad at its end. 🤞💔🙏😥

No the ending is not sad. Originally when I was going to do a full fledged fic out of it, it was going to have a lot more angst but when someone protested at my plan, I canceled it, and eventually wrote this, as a flash
