Bitter Frost is finished, as I weep bitterly. Yay, though, another one done.
As promised, next up are updates on The Swap and The Ties That Bind. After I have a breather that is. And perhaps multiple glasses of wine.

I am still plugging away on the last chapter of Bitter Frost. The above pictures will be posted on the last chapter as they were my inspiration for this story.
It’s taking me a while for this chapter because it needs to be absolutely perfect. As you know, if you’ve been around a while, I’d been planning this story for a long time. It took me a while to get it started, I posted it, got slammed by a troll, deleted it, cried myself to sleep over it, posted it again, and here we are. I’ve had this plan all along, what happened to 1950s Jim, that Spock would leave him, and make him forget, but it isn’t at all easy, and if it wasn’t for the final chapter I am writing, this story might go into the Sad Endings with The Strange Vulcan. But it won’t.
So, in the meantime, I can’t work on anything else. Stay tuned for it and the Friday Flash coming on the 12th.
Please bear with me as I work on the conclusion of Bitter Frost. I am not sure when I will post the next chapter. Perhaps today, perhaps tomorrow. It will depend on how much I can get done on it.
I had some days off from work so I am a bit swamped right now, though I do intend to write at lunch.
I am fasting today so I am grumpy!
Once Bitter Frost is finished (I have it listed as 3 more chapters but if I can get it done in 2, I will), I will probably update The Swap, before moving on to The Ties That Bind. But that is in the distant future right at the moment.
Coming up this Saturday is Aria’s 4th birthday party (friend’s grand niece), so we will be going to that. I am very underthrilled, but you do what you have to do, I guess.
It’s warm today. I mean seriously warm. Like 90. Sigh. Guess our cold weather and rain is done now. Supposed to be hit by severe wind tomorrow too.
No movie this week or next but after that I should get back into it. I have lots to watch at home, so it’s fine.
“How many days have you slept alone?”
Jim scowled at his friend. “This is the third day…night.”
Bones sighed. “You gonna apologize?”
“I didn’t do anything.”
“Course not.” Bones took a sip of his beer. “Still going to?”
“No!” Jim frowned. “I…don’t know where he is. Or-or anything.”
“What? He hasn’t been in touch for three days? That doesn’t seem like him.”
He shrugged. “Had a bad fight.”
Bones finished his beer and stood. “You contact —”
“No.”
“Want me to stay?” Bones asked, gently. “Or you want to come with me?”
“Nah.” Jim forced a smile. “Gonna do some studying and go to bed. See you tomorrow?”
When Bones left, Jim went for another bottle of beer, and then another. By the time he had stumbled to bed he hadn’t done any studying or even changed his clothes.
He woke in the middle of the night to a thud. He sat up, heart pounding. Was someone breaking in to the apartment? Shit. Jim tried to scramble out of bed but tripped on the tangle of blankets and sheets and fell flat on his face.
“Fuck! Ouch. Damn. That hurt.” He lifted himself up to his elbows and saw Spock standing in the doorway of the bedroom. “Are you breaking in?”
Spock arched a brow. “I live here.”
“What was that noise then?”
“I accidentally kicked the book bag you left by the door.”
“Oh.” Jim bit his lip and sunk back down to the floor in defeat. “Come to move your stuff out, huh?”
Spock sighed which had Jim lifting up to look at him again.
“Negative. But if you will recall the fight started because you left your book bag, grocery purchases, laundry, and—”
“Yeah, okay,” Jim mumbled. “I know. I’m a lazy slob.”
Spock stepped into the room and reached down to pull Jim to his feet. “You were drinking.”
“Bones was over and…yeah. I was.” Jim leaned against Spock. “Are you really back?”
“Are you apologizing?”
Jim waited a beat. “Yeah. Are you?”
“Affirmative.”
Jim drew back to look at Spock. Or at least as much as he could with Spock holding him pretty tight. “You are?”
Spock nodded. “Will you take me back?”
“I hate when we fight.”
“Me too.” Spock wrinkled his nose. “Let’s get you cleaned up. When did you last shower?”
“Uh…I don’t know?”
“Come. I will take care of you.”
Jim smiled and kissed Spock’s cheek. “You always do.”
“And I always will.”
I feel like I am the only one posting on WordPress these days.
Sorry for yet another post.
But, I finished Kirk’s Children, which most of you know, but I am thrilled that I did, because I’ll be honest the stress of too many stories is back. AGGGHHHHHHH.
Er anyway.
I also finished all the April Flash Fics. So between those two happenings, I hope I can calm down some.
And on Saturday evening, M is back. I wish I had every day off so I could have watched non-stop everything, but alas I had to work! Damn it.
