A continuation of the Flash on April 6, 2020
Jim, the human boy, was skittish, and Spock supposed he could not blame him, considering what Spock had learned had happened to him. And to the others.
Not that there were a lot of survivors that had been brought to Vulcan. And most that were, were young like Jim.
This human boy jumped at everything, which cause Spock to feel sorry for him. He had obviously been through a lot.
āCome, Jim. It is only a little farther.ā
Jimās steps faltered. āWhere?ā
āMy home. As I said, you can bathe and eat and become warm again.ā
Jim shivered though it was not cold. āNot sure I will ever be warm.ā
āYou will be safe there,ā Spock promised.
āYour house?ā
āYes, Jim.ā
āAnd I get to stay there?ā he asked shyly.
āYes.ā
Jim took a step forward, then stopped again. āYou sure?ā
Spock nodded. āMy father has a habit of fostering children. There is already an older human female in our household. My mother is human. Do not worry, you will be welcome.ā
But still Jim hesitated so Spock reached out his hand in a gesture probably most Vulcans would not do. But Spock was not most.
Jim blinked and put his hand in Spockās and Spock led him to the house and inside.

Ok, I want you to stop everything, work, eating, sleeping. And just write this story. I can make it till…Sunday night, latest. The need is overwhelming for this one.
(BTW – I’m wondering if this Jim Kirk’s middle name is Liberty. Now I wonder if Liberty was on Tarvus 4 in another life, cause he acts JUST like this, except it would do me no good to extend a hand.š

Oh, I forgot to express my appreciation for the line “My father has a habit of fostering children.”
Just think, 4 years ago before Discovery, if anyone had dared use that line, they’da been laughed out of the fandom!š šš And now it’s CANON!!!!

Well of course before Star Trek 5 we didn’t know Spock was so secretive about his siblings. Just like he told Jim in that, technically I do not have a brother, I have a half brother, I am sure he would say, technically I do not have a sister, I have a foster sister.
