Some of the things I got up to this weekend.







Er…coming up this week…The Mysterious One and The Fling. I think. Tomorrow I am at my new location so not sure how much work I will get done writing-wise first day or so. I’ll play it by ear. I have also heard cell phone service is sketchy there. But you will definitely have at least the flashes. The rest…remains to be seen

Speaking of deep love or the opposite, the soup looks like oatmeal with scallions. Ick. Glad you cleared that up. I’ll take that recipe too, please. Though hot and sour is by far my fave.
(Need new keyboard. This one keeps skipping words and I just keep typing and not realized…..uh, go back and look. No telling what it says I said.)

Or his looks anyway. I withhold judgment on true love when it’s someone I haven’t met and have no idea what kind of human they really are. But from what I’ve seen…wow.

Egg Drop Soup
Ingredients
cooking spray
2spray(s)
fresh shiitake mushroom
2cup(s), sliced caps
ginger root
2tsp, fresh minced
uncooked scallion(s)
4medium, chopped (white and green portions kept separate)
canned low-sodium chicken broth
2cup(s), divided
low sodium soy sauce
4tsp (or to taste)
garlic chili paste
1tsp
cooked skinless boneless chicken breast(s)
1cup(s), chopped, diced
cornstarch
1⁄2tsp
egg(s)
2large, beaten
Instructions
1. Coat a medium sauce pan with cooking spray; heat over medium heat. Cook mushrooms, ginger and white parts of scallion, stirring frequently, until mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
2. Add broth, soy sauce, chili paste and chicken; bring to a boil over high heat and cook 1 minute.
3. Stir together cornstarch and 1 tsp water in a small bowl; stir into soup, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, 3 minutes.
4. Spoon 1/4 cup broth into bowl with beaten eggs; stir well. Slowly pour egg mixture into soup, stirring constantly; cook for 1 minute. Serve soup garnished with green parts of scallion and additional chili sauce to taste.
5. Serving size: 1 ¾ c

My mother used to make a cream cheese pound cake that was…wow. But it only works if you bake it in a gas oven. Mine always turned out well when I had one. But I’ve never had one anywhere near right baked in an electric oven.

Cheesecake!!! That looks so good!
What flavor was the cheesecake? I want cheesecake now. I’ve been trying to correctly make the japanese jiggly cheesecake for months. Water keeps getting into the springform pan I use which is frustrating
