Christmas is over for another year. I, for one, had a lovely time. And I am so grateful that I was not sick this year and did not cut my hand on a bottle. I am also grateful M wasn’t sick. Mom has been but she’s hanging in there, and seems a tiny bit improved today.
This Saturday I will be undecorating our place. We will undecorate the family’s home January 5th or 6th. I already took down the window decorations and bought a few bins for storage.
Up next is First Footing on Friday, which is likely going to be the beginning of a fic someone requested of me, so stay tuned for that.
I haven’t written anything since my Christmas flash of a couple of days ago. I’ll get back to writing soon.
In the meantime, I hope you are all well and hope to see you here on Friday!

So glad your mom was well enough to have family Christmas. You guys have all had enough sickness and fires and crises to last a long time. Glad it was a nice day for you all. Now on to Friday’s flash, and soon the others! May you enjoy the inspiration as much as we enjoy your inspiration! And Happy New Year soon! 🕺 🍾(no breaking)🎉

I’ll be here!
Undecorating is always a little bit sad for me. Sometimes I put it off too long.
Glad mom is doing a bit better. May she continue to improve!
Looking forward to the flash. And hope inspiration strikes for more 😉

Glad to hear that your Christmas was nice and you’re well. Hope your Mom continues to improve! Christmas just felt very strange without having my Dad with us. He passed away exactly a month before Christmas. Things ran somewhat late on Christmas! My entire family slept in. And I had worked Christmas Eve overnight, so I was pretty tired! My husband cooked dinner, but it was two hours later than we wanted it to be. It was vegan, because my oldest daughter is vegan. He made seitan piccata. Seitan is a thing made from wheat gluten that, as the saying goes, tastes like chicken. It was yummy. After dinner, we went to a friend’s house for drinks and dessert. And it was nice to socialize on the holiday.
Looking forward to Friday to see what you wrote! Enjoy your week! I have a few days off, so I can recharge. ❤

I imagine it was different since your dad is gone. I remember the first Christmas after my dad died, was hard. Actually the first Christmas after my dad’s stroke when he spent the day in the hospital was worse, but I do understand
