Where do I begin?
To tell the story of how great a love can be.
Oh sorry. When I was a kid we had an organ (not a liver or kidney, young people but sort of a cheesy piano) and that was one of the songs I played. Lord
What a week. What a weekend. What a life.
Busy busy.Ā Tonight I am meeting a friend for dinner to exchange gifts. Tomorrow, Tuesday, I will be at Universal Studios all day and night so I will be incommunicado. Wednesday more visits. Thursday too. Madness I tell you.
I hope I can get writing done. Wish me luck.
Not much else to say!

Are you freakin’ kidding me? You played “Love Story” on the organ and I didn’t know this? I knew trombone, but I didn’t know you played keyboard of any kind. A cheesy piano? Abomination! How dare thee!
Wow. You’ve been holding out on me.
I had an organ at the lake house and had to leave it behind as I couldn’t even get anyone to let me give it to them, and I couldn’t take it with me. š¦
Love the picture!
I wish you good luck!

I was perhaps 10 when I played it. I also played Speak Softly, the love them from the Godfather. Who would have thought the Godfather had a love them! HA. But yeah both songs were in the song book we had for the organ. Now? If I came across one I’d never know how to play it, but as a kid I loved it. What a dork I was ha ha. Well, you didn’t tell me you had one at the lake house. By the way, every time I read those words the lake house I think about a Sandra Bullock movie called that!

Well, my lake house wasn’t the beauty that the one in the movie was, but I was happy with it. I thought I had sent you a picture of the corner of the livingroom, where the piano and the organ were together. But then, that would have been months ago even if I did, and you would have forgotten (no reason to remember).
Godfather love theme is Speak Softly Love, right?
So – I see you’re calling us who play organ dorks, huh?
It’s Orch dorks. So I get it both ways!
Band geeks.
Choir nerds. I think. Or I get them backward. Ours rhymes so I remember it.
I just didn’t know you had ever messed with….*wink* organ.
I’m sorry. It had to be said. And I was the appropriate one to say it.

Speak softly, love and hold me warm against your heart
I feel your words, the tender trembling moments start
We’re in a world, our very own
Sharing a love that only few have ever known.
What I did NOT know was that Andy Williams wrote it! HA.

Now that you mention it, I can remember Andy Williams singing it, and especially on his TV show. It was beautiful. The lyrics are beautiful.

Love the picture š
As a young person, I knew you were talking about a piano thing and not a internal organ thingy LOL
It does sound like you have a busy week ahead of you, but a fun one it sounds like! I’m meeting friends tonight to exchange gifts as well. The rest of the week is work until 6 even though tomorrow is last day of school. Stupid work for being open >.< LOL
Good luck with your writing! I need some too!

LMAO, well, I don’t know if they use organs anymore, even in churches. We had a pizza place near us that had a giant pipe organ and the place was call Pipe and Pizza, HA! Yeah this is going to be a mad week

Many churches still do. And you can still be an organ major at many universities that have large and very expensive pipe organs. Our church was so large we had two services every Sunday morning, one traditional with piano and organ, and one modern, with keyboard and band. Both fun!

Sounds like you have s fun and whirlwind week ahead of you.
Suddenly I hear organ music! Who would have ever thought that The Godfather had a love theme in it! Actually churches still do have organs in them. Just today, I attended a funeral mass for the thirteen month old granddaughter of a co-worker. Beautiful and heartbreaking organ music played during it. I still feel so sad afterwards.

Hi I heard a song on the radio that sounded very Spirky. Someone Take me Home by the X-Ambassadors.
“Home”
[Bebe Rexha & X Ambassadors:]
Home
A place where I can go
To take this off my shoulders
Someone take me home
Home
A place where I can go
To take this off my shoulders
Someone take me home
Someone take me
[Machine Gun Kelly:]
Look, I didn’t power through the struggle
Just to let a little trouble, knock me out of my position
And interrupt the vision
After everything I witnessed, after all of these decisions
All these miles, feets, inches
They can’t add up to the distance
That I have been through, just to get to
A place where even if there’s no closure, I’m still safe
I still ache from trying to keep pace
Somebody give me a sign, I’m starting to lose faith
Now tell me: how did all my dreams turn to nightmares?
How did I lose it when I was right there?
Now I’m so far that it feels like it’s all gone to pieces
Tell me why the world never fights fair
I’m trying to find
[X Ambassadors & Bebe Rexha, (Machine Gun Kelly):]
Home
A place where I can go
To take this off my shoulders
Someone take me home
Home
A place where I can go
To take this off my shoulders
Someone take me home
(It’s been a long time coming)
Someone take me
Home, ho-o-o-o-me
Home, home
Someone take me
Home, ho-o-o-o-me
Home, home
[Machine Gun Kelly:]
Look, I been through so much pain
And it’s hard to maintain, any smile on my face
‘Cause there’s madness on my brain
So I gotta make it back, but my home ain’t on the map
Gotta follow what I’m feeling to discover where it’s at
I need the (memory)
In case this fate is forever, just to be sure these last days are better
And if I have any (enemies)
To give me the strength to look the devil in the face and make it home safe
Now tell me: how did all my dreams turn to nightmares?
How did I lose it when I was right there?
Now I’m so far that it feels like it’s all gone to pieces
Tell me why the world never fights fair
I’m trying to find
[Bebe Rexha & X Ambassadors:]
Home
A place where I can go
To take this off my shoulders
Someone take me home
Someone take me
I found no cure for the loneliness
I found no cure for the sickness
Nothing here feels like home
Crowded streets, but I’m all alone
I found no cure for the loneliness
I found no cure for the sickness
Nothing here feels like home
Crowded streets, but I’m all alone
[X Ambassadors & Bebe Rexha, (Machine Gun Kelly):]
(Someone take me)
Home, ho-o-o-o-me
Take me home
Home, home, take me home
Someone take me
Home, ho-o-o-o-me
Someone, someone
Nothing here feels like home
Home, home
(Someone take me)
