I’m not complaining.
Okay I am.
But lord work is crushing me right now.
I work for a mega corporation. Myself and my two co-workers have the heaviest burden in the company for what we do. There are only the three of us handling literally thousands of what our particular job consists of (yes I am being deliberately vague). And they are all time sensitive.
So what happens?
We take on more work.
Yes the powers that be, decided to give us the work from a couple of other states within the company’s empire. Adding to an already heavy burden.
Then I am taking off for a couple days next week which only makes me more anxious about the work.
And there’s no doubt my writing is suffering from it. My brain is fried. Make no mistake. I hope to have another chapter up tomorrow or at least before I leave.
What this means for you my friends. I may be short with you sometimes, but don’t cut off contact with me. Just have patience though since sometimes I might take a bit before I can respond. But do not feel bad that you are “bothering me”. Sometimes you are the light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
Tomorrow I will have a flash fic up.
So…I have some news.
I’m stuck. I stare at every one of my works in progress and I have nothing. I should be updating My Devotion next but I can’t even make myself open the file. I did open Dating a Vulcan. Managed to force out like two paragraphs and went…no.
I don’t feel like working on anything.
You’d think these two would inspire anyone.
But I presently have nothing.
And so…I’m taking some time off, hoping I return to being inspired to continue my stories. Right now, I am seriously burned out.
So here we go. You must understand that I took hundreds so this is just a small sampling.
Let me start with the boxer shorts I bought. This was on the back end, M was quite amused.
Next up are just random pictures from the trip. We went on a lake one day for fishing. No, I didn’t fish and nothing was caught. We went to a place in Idaho called Bear World where you got to feed bread to bears who follow your truck. We also went to Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Springs, and Grand Teton. Enjoy!

Hebgen Lake Day
It’s harder to get pictures of Old Faithful erupting than you might think! Plus it drenched us where we were. Soaked!
One of my favorite areas was called West Thumb. Beautiful. As you can see with those pictures. It’s filled with beautiful, colorful hot springs like the one above. Humans cannot withstand them. In that book I mentioned West Thumb happened to an area with frequent accidents and deaths. They used to allow fishing in the area but the lake there itself has lots of these spring and they burned fisherman. Remember, Yellowstone is a super volcano. This pool above that is beautiful and blue? Is called Black Pool. Many years ago it used to be black but the thermal elements of Yellowstone’s volcano made it so hot that all the life that used to live in the Black Pool were killed off and now it looks like this (Ranger told us)
Yes I am back. I am so exhausted I don’t have time to post anything else yet, but will get up a post later this week. I hope to update something too but not sure what or when.

I managed to get When it Began finished this past week. Since I started a new fic, Unbonded, I thought I needed to get something done. Only fair. Unbonded was another one that I thought of as a short one-shot and it started building in my head and I decided to make it a new one.
On the update next list is For the First Time in My Life I was Happy, Where My Demons Hide, Who’s the Daddy, and You are the Light Who’s Leading Me. Those are the ones that I haven’t updated since April. Hopefully I can get an update up for each of them before I go on my trip and will be incommunicado.
This is up one day early because I plan to be pretty busy tomorrow with laundry in the morning and family thing in the afternoon.
I can’t believe how fast my trip is coming up. I don’t even know how I will pay for it. I have a little bit of stock. I might have to sell it.
Also coming up fast are two other things in June. On June 25, my Th’y’la Bang Story is supposed to be posted. All I can say is never again. I have my reasons but I will not say here. I am very pleased with the story and excited for everyone to read it. But this is going to be my one and only year, so enjoy it.
And the other is June 26, is when I go to the Hollywood Bowl and see Queen with Adam Lambert. There are eight of us going.

Friday night we went over to the cousin’s place for dinner and a fire in her backyard fire pit afterward. I drank a little wine and forced myself to socialize.
Saturday, we went to breakfast and then I spent most of the rest of the day doing whatever I wanted. We did get a new exercise bike and I have started that, I need to do something!
In fact, the SO is going vegan. I am not, but I am changing a few things.
Sunday was another nice day, though I did do laundry and went to the grocery store.
This coming weekend is Memorial Day Weekend and I am looking forward to that greatly. I think we may be seeing King Arthur this Tuesday.
To be updated next is still Anything, When I Began, and When I Fall in Love. I haven’t worked on any of them so who knows!
Chris has been looking good as he’s been doing his Wonder Woman publicity stuff so I leave you with this.
Next up on what will Ivan update is Anything. And then probably my Cinderella story, When I Fall in Love. But I’ll be honest and say I don’t know when either of these will be updated. I am taking a bit of a break. I’ve been trying to take weekends off more and I still intend to do that that but I also think I need a few more days after that. I’m a little burned out, not necessarily from writing but from posting on there. I don’t want it to become like that other archive for me and a break must be had.
Anyway, so I wanted to make that clear on here. I am not quitting or anything. Just taking a wee sabbatical. I don’t anticipate it being for too long.
In the meantime, enjoy some scenery and have a great weekend.
