Here it is folks, the end for now (if there is enough clamoring there will be a second fic)
Spockās breath hitched and his arms came around the man, pulling him close. And all at once that connection heād felt seemed to ignite.
Jim pulled back to look at Spockās face. āThatās pretty cool? Do you feel that?ā
āI do, Tāhyāla.ā
āThatās a Vulcan word?ā
Spock nodded. āYes. Iāā
Jim stepped out of Spockās arm and he had to fight to keep himself from seizing hold of Jim to draw him back.
āWe should talk,ā Jim said. āIs that food I smell?ā
āI had brought home my dinner and left it in the hallway when I discovered someone had accessed my door.ā
To Spockās surprise, Jim laughed.
āUh, yeah. Sorry. I did get permission though. If you want to talk to the guy out front.ā Jim moved over to the door, opened it, and picked up the to-go bags Spock had left there. āYou can go ahead and eat, if you want.ā
Spock took the bags from Jim and brought them to the kitchenette. āAre you hungry?ā
āIām always hungry.ā
Spock got out two plates as Jim perched on a small stood next to where Spock prepared their food.
āYou must have a lot of questions.ā
āI do, yes.ā Spockās gaze to meet Jimās. āThe most important one is, are you all right?ā
āYes, thanks to you. I canātā¦ā And here Jimās voice cracked. He closed his eyes for a moment and Spock couldnāt stop himself for reaching for Jimās hand. He was pleased when Jim allowed him to hold it. āI canāt tell you how grateful I am. I spent way too long in cat form.ā
āI am gratified that your family was able to assist you.ā
āYou bringing me to them was definitely the right thing to do, but Iām sorry they hit you. Are you okay?ā
āI am satisfactory. I do wish I would have been able to stay.ā
āThe family unit is very protective of our status,ā Jim replied.
āAnd you are safe? Those that were afterāā
āTheyāve been taken care of for the moment. My family has some powerful Federation allies. You donāt need to fear them anymore, Spock. Theyāve been neutralized.ā
Spock didnāt think that sounded very good but he also thought he probably shouldnāt ask too many questions. If Jim said they were no longer a threat, then he believed him.
āI guess at some point my miraculous reemergence as being alive will come out,ā Jim was saying. āI donāt know what that will mean for my Starfleet career or really anything. Itās strange not being Human for five years.ā
Spock put a plate in front of him. āEat.ā
Jim gave him a smile. āThank you. For this and for everything. And if itās not too weird, I really want to get to know you better. A lot better.ā
Spock exhaled slowly. āIt is not too weird. I would like that as well.ā
āYeah?ā Jim squeezed his hand, released it and picked up his fork. āSo, uh, what does Tāhyāla mean?ā

This whole Fic was a ride from start to finish! Well done my friend. I really enjoyed it.

I don’t mean to diminish anything you’ve written in the past at all.
But this may be the most absolutely perfect thing you’ve ever written. For short version, I mean. I mean….ah heck, I have about 25 of yours tied for first place best ever. So this joins them.
Anyway, those pictures are PERFECT!! I mean, bravo perfect!
I love this. Can’t wait for you to get it out there to the masses. I mean, spirk cat month was like last month, right? This tops them all! (And no, I didn’t read any of the others. But I have GREAT gut instincts! No seriously. SHUT UP!)

As soon as it is reviewed for the multiple errors I know it has it can go up!

Love it! This is a lovely conclusion to āthis partā of their story! (Notice what I did there! Consider that a beginning of clamoring!) Iām glad that Jim feels the connection between them as well! They certainly have a lot to talk over. I canāt imagine poor Jim having been trapped in cat form for all those years! He never knew if heād be stuck that way forever or not. He needs emotional healing and Spock certainly is the one to help him with it! Yes Spock, what is Tāhyāla?!
Looking forward to seeing these two once again, as they reunite as humanoids! Cue the puppyš¶ dog šeyes š!!!

I wish I had photoshop. I’ve been trying for weeks to get you your bombay cat pic with bombay sapphire colored eyes. I just can’t get it to work in MS paint. š¦
