So managed to update a couple things on AO3 this week including My Heart Wants to Sigh and The Carrier.
I am still working on getting October flashes done. I need to get my act together because I still have November ones and the Christmas story, oiye.
So I did a mini walk of September. See below.

Yay fall! I’m so happy it’s coming and the leaves are turning. It looks great over there and I’m happy that your sky is clearing some. Here’s hoping it keeps getting better. Stay safe!

I have to admit, I could live a little while longer without fall, but that#s mostly because fall means a step closer to winter and snow. I am not in the right mindset yet. But it looks great where you are and great that you have clearer sky at least today! Stay safe!!

I don’t get snow so I never worry about the winter coming. Usually it’s the only time it gets remotely cold here.
thank you

I’m shocked. According to the news, your sky is solid smoke and will be for a long time. I’m glad to know that, as usual, they sensationalize everything. Which doesn’t mean the smoke’s not bad, just they show us pics of glowing orange air everywhere and we think it’s like that everywhere.
Glad to know it’s not that way everywhere, constantly.
Yet I know it’s bad. The smoke from the huge fire in Mexico that blew all the way to the TX panhandle in the late spring of 2003 is one reason we missed my dad’s lung cancer coughing. We thought it was the smoke, which was awful even that far away.
I’m so sorry you guys go through that every year. But literally that’s what CA does. It has fires every year. Of course, there have been many people arrested for starting fires all through the west coast states, though the news chooses to ignore them, going instead with what Newsom says.
Oh well, politics is what it always is. Agenda driven.
I miss Cronkite. Which, btw, I wish they’d get on the Chris/Cronkite movie. I can’t wait for it. MUCH more than for WW 84. Which is just sitting, rotting in a can…
Boy am IIII opinionated on a Thursday morning.
Anyway, all that is to say, I’m so glad the smoke cleared enough you were willing to walk and snap pics for us.

Yeah it’s not so bad here, gets worse in the afternoon
There are also fires in Idaho and Utah they don’t talk about because likewise it suits the news for it only to be the so-called “blue states” that are having fires. Just not true.
Believe me it’s all over the news here about one of the fires being started by the idiots at a gender reveal party. In my opinion those people should be charged with arson.
Anyway, the smoke is way worse in No Cal, I believe, though certainly bad enough here. And fire season is just starting here. Last year, I don’t know if you recall, but Australia had horrible fires and people on the beach couldn’t even get away from them. Scary.
I haven’t heard that the Cronkite movie is going forward. I thought maybe it had been canceled? Not sure. Edited to add: I do see it says “pre-production” whatever THAT means

Here’s what we get: https://i.postimg.cc/QMDmTg67/la-fires.jpg
(I have no idea if that will show or not. If not, it’s at https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EiFmOySU8AE0o5F?format=jpg&name=small
And yeah, I saw on one news station last night that there are fires from Canada to Mexico, from the Pacific coast states to a line just west of Texas.
We’ve had enough rain, I think, to prevent anything here, plus we’re already cooler, and the TX panhandle has already had freezing temps last week. We’ll see. If these fires are antifa attacks (as is being reported by some, as some have been caught in the act and arrested) they’ll be everywhere.

Beats me as the police claimed the story that they started it is a hoax. *shrugs*
And now there is massive flooding in Alabama. End times….

Oh – and the headline with that pic is “As smoke continues to shroud LA County, residents worry about long-term exposure.” As though that’s what it looks like near you. (Oh, and my previous comment is in jail)

I saw! It’s out now. 🙂
Yeah if you look at the weather channel report on my phone for my city it still shows it as covered in smoke which as you could see from my pics yesterday was just not true. Maddening.

Well, they said the one in Oregon was a hoax. They’re not reporting much that there are many people arrested for starting fires. Hard to find that info. But one way or another, we KNOW they have started many fires in cities all over the country, burning many buildings – even law enforcement buildings. Fire is a fave way of protest, apparently. We’ve all seen them doing so on news reports for months.

I would like Fall if it wasn’t followed by that dreadful W season! Ughhhh!!! And it’s sad when all the flowers die off. Can’t believe that September is more than half way over. 😦
I’m glad your smokey skies have improved. Hope it keeps improving.
Have a nice week. ❤️

Yeah like I told Jesco, I don’t experience bad winters so it’s a different mindset.

I always love your walk pictures. Such a beautiful neighborhood. Look at all those leaves falling. How dare they LOL I can’t wait for sweater weather here.
I’m glad the sky is less smoky. I am hoping that the fires get under control soon.
Hope you have a good upcoming weekend!! 🙂
