And back to work tomorrow. I always feel vaguely guilty being out sick as I have a ton of work, but, that’s the way it goes.
I got Cadet Ashayam updated so that’s a load off my mind. I am working on Every Four Years Later to appear on February 29th on the Archive rather than the blog. I did finish all my flashes for February already so yay me.
I don’t know what I’m going to do for March yet as far as Flashes because of the T’hy’la Bang story. I have started it. I am not allowed to tell you anything about it, not even the title, which I do have (it’s a song title, I think I can tell you THAT much). You may only get sporadic flashes, it’s really going to depend how confident I feel about the Bang story as I get through February.
PLUS I still have my regular stories to update. I think next up is My Heart Wants to Sigh, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves!
Meanwhile, Friday I have a birthday party to go to after work. Yippee…not.
Er…pretty sure that’s enough to ramble about for now. It’s warm this week here. Don’t need the groundhog to tell us Spring is here!
Oh…PS. I watched a couple of episodes of DS9 while sick and I just have to say that their theme music is just absolutely gorgeous.

All kidding aside, I’m so glad you’re feeling better! Don’t feel guilty. Bc you need to take care of yourself and the job, while important, cannot be your whole life.
So glad you’ve got the updating thing going on. And I can’t wait to read the bang! I’d flashes have to go sporadic, then they do. Well survive. Probably.

I thought I heard the whips and chairs coming out to get you back at work. I’m sorry. I hated Mondays for years and years and years. Now I don’t even notice if it IS Monday. I love it! Oh yeah, it’s Monday because right on time there’s a new leak in the bathroom ceiling. Check.

Yeah, I think the DS9 music is the most inspiring of all the themes. It just moves me to desperately need to go….someplace. Do something.
For a second there, I got all excited that you’d finally watched 2 episodes of Discovery S2. Silly me.
I do, for just music’s sake, think Voyager theme is the absolute best. Which is good, because the show just doesn’t move me anywhere near as much as Enterprise, which I wouldn’t even give a chance because of the opening theme. I love the final credits music though, Archer’s Theme. But then, I thought Enterprise is the best of all the ST series. Until I saw Discovery S2.
Argh. Ok, I’ll shut up now!

DS9 was on regular television and is familiar to me as I’ve seen them before. And I ❤ Sisko. First year I went the ST Convention Avery was supposed to be there. I was trying to decide who to buy photo ops with. I was already scheduled to have it with Shatner and Karl and three of the TNG boys (Data, Worf and Geordi. I wasn't sure I could afford to add Avery as well. Turned out I needn't have worried because Avery canceled and has never signed up for one since. Missed opportunities. Also that year Bruce was supposed to be there too and he canceled. Would have so loved to see him. Also never again to appear. Probably never will now considering the way Creation Entertainment (who do the conventions) treats the AOS stars (and some others too, like according to Wil Wheaton). Then they added Simon though and I'm glad I got my picture with him before they stopped appearing at the conventions. Sigh. Now I am going on and on.

Of all the series and episodes though, my absolute all-time favorite ST episode is the one where Sisko disappears, and Jake spends his entire life trying to get his dad back, who is floating out there in the continuum as time goes by. Nobody believes it’s possible, and Jake loses his wife who just can’t take it any more in the process.
And that’s the first year Sisko is full on bald. And OMG – never has there been a man who looks that good bald – I like him SO much better bald, as I couldn’t like Riker at all till he grew his beard! haha

Glad you’re feeling better. A little rest, then back to the grindstone. Love the flower. Spring is not in the air here. Still winter. Sadly! Possible light snow this weekend. Ughhh!
I haven’t watched DS9 in many years. It was never my favorite series. Well, I hope you have a good week and I’m going to be checking for your update. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what you do for the T’hy’la Bang! ❤️💚🖖
