Here are some pictures from January including a very lazy cat.
I’m behind schedule at the moment. I’ll throw something together to post as a flash for Friday but I haven’t done it yet.
Sunday I went to drop something off at the sister’s house and we got to doing some wine drinking and before I knew it I was three sheets to the wind. I didn’t barf, but Monday I woke with a bitch of a hangover. I even called out sick and pretty much spent the day vegging and watching youtube videos of which I am not proud. But it put me behind on updates.
Before I get to working on finishing The Space in My Bed, I will get that flash done.
Last week we saw Jumanji 2 and I quite liked it. Very cute and amusing. Tonight is Star Wars.
Still haven’t gotten back to normal food and financial wise after the holidays but I am working on it.

Sisters are like that. Well blame her entirely. It’s all her fault. But also sometimes we all need a veg day and I’m glad you got that, though I’m sorry you had the head pains.

Silly guy. Didn’t you know sick days are for fun, not actually being sick? Sheesh. Have we taught you nothing? I think you needed to not be at work though.

Today would be my 48th anniversary.
I’m so glad it isn’t.
Wish I had believed in signs. It snowed and 3/4 of the attendees couldn’t even go. And the water heater wasn’t working when we woke up that morning.
See? I should have known. Cancel everything and go back to sleep.

Oh – I forgot. Those look like gorgeous flowers up in that tree – my fave color. I’d have never known they were just different colored leaves had you not said.

They do look like flowers a bit in the picture but having stood under the tree I know they are leaves. Weird huh? When I posted it I thought the same thing, oh looks like a flower here.

I did need the day off. And this is a three day weekend for me as MLK is a holiday for our work. So that’s something to greatly look forward to!
Well yeah and you got married in January so you should have guessed it might be cold silly. Can you imagine if we knew half of what we didn’t know how wise we’d be? 😀

Love seeing your photos. What a sweet kitty. I too thought the leaves looked like it had a flower cluster within it. What a beautiful blue sky above it all. Looks like Bombay sapphire! 😉
I’m sorry you had a hangover, but you sometimes need the down time to just indulge a bit. Vegging our is best done when you are not feeling under the weather… best to do it when you just need a mental health day.
If you fall behind on updates, we understand. Life happens and we won’t berate you for it. (Well not too much… lol!) When you get to post flashes and updates we’ll be here, waiting mostly patiently… well except for j, no patience there apparently! Lol!

The sky can be quite incredible on days like that. Today it’s pretty hazyish and we’re supposed to be rainy on Thursday. Allegedly.

Beautiful neighborhood. I always enjoy the pictures from your walks. The weather here is still being weird. 60s and even in the 70s. I think it is supposed to snow Saturday. I hope so. I would like some actual winter weather here.

Well, Star Wars. I thought what I did about JJ’s last SW attempt. I thought the first one he did was A New Hope redone with different, less compelling characters played by less compelling actors. Okay, but not spectacular. I thought this latest one was Return of the Jedi redone with different, less compelling characters played by less compelling actors. I thought the CGId Leia was just badly done. I thought any time the originals were on the screen like Luke, Han and Lando (and even the weird CGId Leia) I couldn’t help thinking, God I wish they were in this movie as the stars instead. He used some of the exact same ideas from Return of the Jedi for this movie, having to take down the signal/ thingamajig blocking the rebels from being able to attack, the last battle with the emperor, etc. Again,it was okay, but not spectacular. He tied up some loose ends while leaving others, which yeah, I know that’s the nature of movies and stories. I’ve done the same in my own. So if I were a critic leaving my review it would say, this “Return of the Jedi, Redone, with less compelling actors, but okay”.

SW, in general, repeats itself. I liked the movie, but right now, a week or so later, I can’t recall the newer characters names. 🤷🏻♀️
