I’m working on other updates (getting my Fall Spirk’s flashes done through November, I got next Wednesday’s flash done, and there are some other things I’d like to get taken care of writing-wise) so this basically means a short wait for the next AO3 update, which will be The Space in My Bed, before another update for Stranded 3. Those might be pushed to Sunday and beyond into next week. But you can expect the first song flash tomorrow.
Saturday afternoon and evening I will be at the sister’s. She’s having wood floors put into her house next week so we’re going there Saturday to help her pack some stuff up as a result. We’ll have dinner and sit out on her patio afterward. We will consider it the last hurrah of Summer even though we can expect it to remain quite warm here.
Still working on the garage door stuff. We had the last estimate yesterday of four estimates. We’ve submitted everything to insurance and are just waiting. All these places have to order a door which can take additional weeks until we can get it done so we are hoping we can get that ordered soon. Nothing is ever simple, is it?
So I’m going to be slowing down a bit on AO3 updates so I can get all the stuff done on here too. So please bear with me. I have just two chapters left of Didn’t We Almost Have it All (And I absolutely know how I want to end it) and though I could write on them forever, on the other hand, it’s not fair to those who want their firm happy ending. So look for that soonish as well as the ending of The Ties That Bind and possibly Nine Lives. All good things must come to an end, don’t you think? So while I work on millions of other things, look for those too. Hopefully I can keep my sanity!

Awwwwww! I thought you were still considering continuing DWAHIA. But I guess I’d want it to go on forever. Kids, grandkids. You know – just the rest of their lives, or mine! ha
But wow. You constantly amaze me. Hope you don’t get so overwhelmed you do that Dairy Queen thing I told you about once.
I worked at one when I was considerably younger, which was close to the dam of a lake. Not long before they hired me, one day they were absolutely bombed by customers. They were one cook short and it was taking an hour to get orders. But then they noticed they’d not had any orders up for awhile so someone went to check, and they found the cook, not cooking, but rather just absent-mindedly sweeping the floor, singing. She’d totally had a nervous breakdown!
So – we don’t want to end up finding you sweeping out the garage, singing. 🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹
The world just isn’t ready for that!
So take it easy on yourself! No matter how much I want it all, right now.

I know, but I also promised you a long time ago that DWAHIA would be done quickly and I never kept that promise and I’d like to get it done, for you. And I think they very much deserve as peaceful and ending as I can give them. Not sure any of them will be truly healed, not unless I wrote about their counseling sessions for years, probably, but I’d like to get them to a contented place.
I shall attempt not to lose my marbles anymore than I already have! But yeah. Something has to give a bit, so I will be keeping those AO3 updates down to about 2 a week until I can get ahead of some other things!

Well, you could always have an epilogue AFTER all the counseling. But then….you know. It’s just 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% chance they could ever even have a contented ending, much less happy.
I know they say it all works out in the end, and if it hasn’t worked out, it’s not the end yet.
But….it’s my fault! wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I can’t believe how long it is taking to get a garage door replaced! Wow! It’s not even to the point that it’s ordered yet!
Yeah for any kind of update… on here and /or on ao3. Don’t stress yourself out by forcing yourself to follow a schedule. Pace yourself. We’ll just hang out here, checking on the status of updates. No pressure! Lol!
Enjoy your last hurray of summer. I might go rafting again this weekend- the kind that is more like drifting slowly down a placid (non-white water) Delaware River. It’s been getting cool at night lately. Booo! Current temperature here at 5 AM 55° F! Ughh!
