The above picture sums up this last week for us here. That’s the smoke from the Thomas fire. Yes it is as bad as it looks.
This week has been hell for Southern California with the winds and fire. People lost their homes and several animals perished. Schools had to close simply from smoke permeating the air.
Trust me when I say I was jealous of everyone else’s snow.
For the next week we are supposed to stay in the low 80s and high 70s. It’s supposed to be 70 on Christmas. We never get freezing cold in December but damn…sigh.
Hard to believe it but it’s now two weeks until Christmas.
As before my concentration is on the holiday stories and just chilling really.
Someone left a comment on The Life You’re Given that I should say in the description that it’s incomplete or abandoned. Well it already says that in the description, so um, yeah. Although it doesn’t say “abandoned” because it’s not. I hope to begin writing on it again in 2018.
That’s about it for me this week.

I would send you snow if I could! At the very least, it would probably put out the fires.
Sending good thoughts about that since that’s all I can do. Hope it doesn’t last too much longer.
Can’t believe Christmas is in 2 weeks!
Really can’t wait for more of your holiday stories. And as for the other? People don’t pay attention. It’s the readers own fault. You have it there. Smh.
Enjoy your week!

I gave up long ago of getting snow in December and I am not even sure I really want it. When I experienced snow this past June in Yellowstone it was damn cold and wet, lol, but you know 60s in the day would be nice as opposed to 80s, sigh

Aw- I like the snow on your banner. And I see it’s even snowing in our comments. Nice.
California isn’t even in a drought this year, is it?
I’m so sorry about the fires and the loss of lives.
YOU stay safe.
What are you asking Santa for this year?

Yes I forgot wordpress let you do that for the month of December and then when oh yeah, gotta add that snow.
Our Governor declared it over last year but I very much suspect it will be on again this year. We are very very dry with no rain in sight. 😦

You seem to once again forget to answer the “what are you asking Santa for this year” question!

Questions; First, I think I always assume you’ll finish works so I never get worried about you. Is there something you never finished? Second, the stories you allude to in your authors update in the life you’re given, what are the stories if you don’t mind me asking? I don’t think it’s bad form to say, and now I’m intrigued. I know in the past there was a story I ADORED, and after emailing the author they took it up again and it had been a few years. However, after a whiz bang start it seemed like it was drifting, and not the best quality and I was HEARTBROKEN. I now rather think of it as a WIP because it started to stray so poorly from the original work. I personally will start to love stories like a tangible object so emotionally I can become very attached.

Yes, one story I did not finish but I removed it off the site some time back. Other than that I have finished everything.
The Chapter 10 one was Spicyshimmy. She left it unfinished probably more than 4 years ago now. She kept it up for the longest time but I honestly don’t know if that is still the case as I haven’t checked in over a year. Too depressing. It had Prime in it too.
The Chapter 6 one was Sinestrated and she admitted she deleted it and would never finish it. I thought it was so good and I wish she had warned about it before she deleted it so I could get those last 2 chapters, but it was not to be.
The other was an author who had Vulcan somewhere in her user name and Jim was just a kid in the first chapter but it was supposed to change in the future. She never finished it. I think she may have even deleted it.
That’s interesting to hear your take on that story the author took back up after years. That would have been very disappointing.

Yeah. I was really surprised it was tanking, but I’m guessing that whatever made them stop in the first place, came back to haunt them – but it had something like 60 chapters!
As for spicyshimmy I adored her. It was so sad when she kind of disappeared. She was a hoot on tumblr as far as random stuff as well.

I just looked and spicyshimmy’s WIP is still there.
Did you enjoy Marriage of True Minds? I remember being so enthralled with that one when she was doing it… oh the agony of waiting for each update!

I can’t believe how terrible the California fires are! So scary!! Stay safe, my friend! ❤
We had some snow on Saturday and of course I had to work… I'm in the middle of working twelve nights in a row. Sigh! Can't believe Christmas is just around the corner… I'm so ill prepared for it!
As to your stories- I never feel you'll abandon them. I'm amazed how you can be so creative on various different storylines at the same time.
I see you have updated your stories, but I have to check them out later … Need to sleep a bit before work tonight.
