Currently I am working on off Archive stuff. The 100 Words and The Sight.
Next up on Archive stories is Where My Demons Hide. I’m delaying working on it for a number of reasons, but the most relevant here is that I want to take Jim to a very dark place next and I’m not really sure how well that will go over with readers. I really can’t get the idea of what I want to do out of my head, so I am torn. I suppose I could write it and then “delete it” and consider it as a “deleted scene” like they do in movies (for example the scene where Amanda and Sarek welcome baby Spock, or Amanda tells Sarek she’s not happy with his response to Spock’s bullying, or the part where Sam leaves and Jim tells Frank he doesn’t want Sam to leave and Frank says what Jim wants is nothing because he is nothing).
Anyway, that’s where I am at, so…right now it’s stalled.
I updated a lot lately on there anyway so it’s cool. It’s time to let others shine on there with their updates.
Not sure when I will have chapter 3 of The Sight up but the next part of 100 Words is up tomorrow, Tuesday.
I took Friday off of work, so I have a 4 day weekend for Memorial Day Weekend. I am greatly looking forward to it.
This week we will finally see The Avengers. We never saw the original Deadpool so that’s not on our agenda and none of us is eager to see Solo, so that may push us next into whatever comes out in June after this. We shall see.
I’ve updated What Happened to Spock today but AO3 has been a major pain for the last couple of days so who knows if you will ever get to read it!
I’ve also got a good jump on the next chapter of Nine Lives.
Once that has been finished, I’ll tackle When I Loved You. When last I left it, Jim and young Jim were being threatened by a tiger-like creature on a strange planet.
There will be an update of 100 words tomorrow and Friday.
Not sure what comes after When I Loved You because I can’t get into AO3 to see, but I think it “may” be Anything. In any event, I may update something that or something else if the opportunity comes.
In August 2012, I visited this area of Hawaii where Kilauea is currently erupting. It is an area that is always active but not to the extent it has been lately. We stood at the Park overlooking Kilauea that year, amazed at nature at work. It was pointed out to me yesterday that it was 2012, whereas, it seems to me like it could have been yesterday. What a tragedy to befall the residents there. Like anywhere where natural disaster can hit (earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, etc) you always know it “CAN” happen but you never quite think it will until it does. Hawaii is such a beautiful place but much of its beauty has been shaped by volcanoes and the like, just like many other places.
Anyway, I thought it was sort of interesting to have been to that place in the past. Probably only to me! HA.

Last rambling update for the week, I promise!
Got The Experiment update done and up. I am a little insanely in love with this Jim. Chapter update was almost 3,000 words. Go me!
I thought I might have to wait to post an update to My Devotion but I am moving right along with writing it so I anticipate getting it up tomorrow. Just hit the 60,000 word mark which is super exciting for someone who is not a long writer like me! This one might surpass Going Boldly as my longest.

Sunday is a Mother’s Day BBQ here for us. Saturday I expect to chill but I may do some work on the holiday story just to keep plugging along with it. Hard to believe it’s approaching the middle of May already. It will be summer before you know it. We’re dropping down into the 70s for the next week or so which is extremely welcome May weather for us.
Thank you for those of you who continue to support my stories by reading them. I wouldn’t be doing it anymore, probably, if it wasn’t for you, and I thank you most sincerely.
Okay, well.
I had actually planned on having a little hiatus on here but the 100 Words Story I posted the first part of yesterday would not go away so I changed my mind. I honestly don’t think it will be as long as the last one but we shall see.
Yesterday I updated both Nine Lives and Unbonded. I actually planned on only updating Unbonded but then I managed to get Nine Lives done first. I could have waited to post Unbonded today but what the hell. It was done and those following it shouldn’t have to wait. I think I have about three chapters left on that story. Especially since after Tuesday’s update to it, they are, indeed, BONDED. LOL.
I am plugging right along. Next update will be The Experiment, but I will probably not get that up until sometime Thursday, I think. My Devotion comes after that but with Mother’s Day this weekend and family obligations that will get pushed to next week for sure. Following that is What Happened to Spock. And probably another Nine Lives Chapter. These are some intense stories so 2-3 updates a week is about all I can handle. I am trying to keep up with as much as I can though these days, so thank you for all your support and continuing to read.
There are only two more posts for the 100 Words story and I’m considering just posting them here today and being done with it so it can get posted to the archive. Any opinions?
I have started my one and only holiday story for 2018 and have a good start on it. I think I am going to forgo chaptering it and it will be a one-shot. It will be ready in plenty of time for posting in December. I needed to take some pressure off myself. Wasn’t sure that I was going to write any this year but I decided if I did one and wrote it well before December I could be okay with it.
As I said last week next up is Unbonded, Nine Lives and The Experiment.
Last week’s doctor’s appointment went well. Weatherwise we are in the 80s which s fairly typical for May. Hope everyone has a good week.
Went and saw Rampage last night with a group of friends. This is the one with Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson. I have to say I found it quite entertaining. But I really like him. He’s really nice to look at and very funny and charming. He had some great lines in this too. Like, “of course the wolf flies”. LOL.
This weekend is my great niece’s second birthday party which will be held at a Shakey’s Pizza. It’s two hours away, which is too far, really, but you do what you gotta do.
On the very upside I think during weigh in tomorrow at WW I will have lost 18 pounds. Go me.
As I indicated earlier, I updated Didn’t We Almost Have it All on Monday. Check it out if you didn’t get a chance because it’s pretty intense. On Tuesday, I updated You are the Light That’s Leading Me. My goal now for the rest of this week is to maybe get this one finally done. It would be nice to have one of the ones I started in 2016 concluded.
I’ll be honest. Once I finish my WIPs I am considering not writing anymore. I haven’t made up my mind 100% but that’s where I am leaning. No need to worry, I have plenty still going for now but recent events have been discouraging and I just don’t know that I have it in me to keep at this for any length of time. We will see how it goes.
So last week I was gone most of the week but I still managed to update Where My Demons Hide and Anything. Not bad.
This week my concentration is on two, Didn’t We Almost Have it All and You are the Light That’s Leading Me. I think I am almost at the end of You are the Light. We shall see but that’s how I am feeling.
I don’t know if I will update anything else, I’d like to play it by ear. There may be more or a one shot or just about anything, really. Maybe nothing but those above I mentioned.
As for the 100 words continuation, I have the next four parts written and scheduled and all I can say is that things will begin to look up for our Captain soon! Once it’s all finished, I will likely post it on the archive as a one-shot but you all got to see it here first.
I just managed to pass another birthday. Time marches on as they say.
I have no other trips planned until the end of June. However, M is going to visit family for a week and a half in earlier June, so that’s a week and a half by myself.
I did take the Friday before Memorial Day off just to have a four day weekend.
Anyway, that’s neither here or there I guess.
