I’ve updated What Happened to Spock today but AO3 has been a major pain for the last couple of days so who knows if you will ever get to read it!

I’ve also got a good jump on the next chapter of Nine Lives.

Once that has been finished, I’ll tackle When I Loved You. When last I left it, Jim and young Jim were being threatened by a tiger-like creature on a strange planet.

There will be an update of 100 words tomorrow and Friday.

Not sure what comes after When I Loved You because I can’t get into AO3 to see, but I think it “may” be Anything. In any event, I may update something that or something else if the opportunity comes.

In August 2012, I visited this area of Hawaii where Kilauea is currently erupting. It is an area that is always active but not to the extent it has been lately. We stood at the Park overlooking Kilauea that year, amazed at nature at work. It was pointed out to me yesterday that it was 2012, whereas, it seems to me like it could have been yesterday. What a tragedy to befall the residents there. Like anywhere where natural disaster can hit (earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, etc) you always know it “CAN” happen but you never quite think it will until it does. Hawaii is such a beautiful place but much of its beauty has been shaped by volcanoes and the like, just like many other places.

Anyway, I thought it was sort of interesting to have been to that place in the past. Probably only to me! HA.

End of Weekish Ramblings, 05/10/2018

You get a very very very pretty Chris Picture today!

Last rambling update for the week, I promise!

Got The Experiment update done and up. I am a little insanely in love with this Jim. Chapter update was almost 3,000 words. Go me!

I thought I might have to wait to post an update to My Devotion but I am moving right along with writing it so I anticipate getting it up tomorrow. Just hit the 60,000 word mark which is super exciting for someone who is not a long writer like me! This one might surpass Going Boldly as my longest.

Tomorrow is the next part of my 100 Words story here on the blog.

Sunday is a Mother’s Day BBQ here for us. Saturday I expect to chill but I may do some work on the holiday story just to keep plugging along with it. Hard to believe it’s approaching the middle of May already. It will be summer before you know it. We’re dropping down into the 70s for the next week or so which is extremely welcome May weather for us.

Thank you for those of you who continue to support my stories by reading them. I wouldn’t be doing it anymore, probably, if it wasn’t for you, and I thank you most sincerely.

Updating Stories, May 09, 2018

Okay, well.

I had actually planned on having a little hiatus on here but the 100 Words Story I posted the first part of yesterday would not go away so I changed my mind. I honestly don’t think it will be as long as the last one but we shall see.

Yesterday I updated both Nine Lives and Unbonded. I actually planned on only updating Unbonded but then I managed to get Nine Lives done first. I could have waited to post Unbonded today but what the hell. It was done and those following it shouldn’t have to wait. I think I have about three chapters left on that story. Especially since after Tuesday’s update to it, they are, indeed, BONDED. LOL.

I am plugging right along. Next update will be The Experiment, but I will probably not get that up until sometime Thursday, I think. My Devotion comes after that but with Mother’s Day this weekend and family obligations that will get pushed to next week for sure. Following that is What Happened to Spock. And probably another Nine Lives Chapter. These are some intense stories so 2-3 updates a week is about all I can handle. I am trying to keep up with as much as I can though these days, so thank you for all your support and continuing to read.

There are only two more posts for the 100 Words story and I’m considering just posting them here today and being done with it so it can get posted to the archive. Any opinions?

I have started my one and only holiday story for 2018 and have a good start on it.  I think I am going to forgo chaptering it and it will be a one-shot. It will be ready in plenty of time for posting in December. I needed to take some pressure off myself. Wasn’t sure that I was going to write any this year but I decided if I did one and wrote it well before December I could be okay with it.

As I said last week next up is Unbonded, Nine Lives and The Experiment.

Last week’s doctor’s appointment went well. Weatherwise we are in the 80s which s fairly typical for May.  Hope everyone has a good week.

Sprok

Sorry for another post!

I just updated All I Ever Wanted.

Next week my main updates will be Unbonded, The Experiment and Nine Lives. I won’t be updating anything on AO3 before Monday. My 100 Words story will be posted over the next six days beginning Friday.

Thank you and I appreciate all your endless support.

Mid-Week Rambles May 02, 2018

Baby Spock

So I started a new story, Nine Lives, which will no doubt fill those who think I shouldn’t write anything new with the proper outrage. But I wanted to have something a little fun to write for myself, though there will be elements of angst. It’s still me. Honestly it’s another idea that sort of became more than I intended when I first thought about it while lying awake at night.

I still intend to update All I Ever Wanted this week. Not sure if I will get to Unbonded until next week. I also hope to finish my ongoing 100 words story PDQ.

On the personal front I bought a new coffeemaker. There was nothing wrong with my Keuring, honestly, but this one is a Hamilton Beach coffeemaker that can brew a carafe of coffee or a k-cup, both. I loved that idea. I’ve been eyeing it for a bit and finally broke down and got it from QVC because I could spread the payments out between 3 months. I just received it last night. Now I can make pots of coffees for us or for guests or whatever or just a single couple if it’s only me. Plus I’ll probably use less k-cups, which are bad for the environment.

Went and saw A Quiet Place last night. Pretty damn disturbing to be honest. I don’t know which of you has heard about this movie but it is intense and not good for the faint of heart. I heard there is going to be a sequel and I think I may have to skip that.

The last few days have been cool here and yesterday, on May 01, we had some rain. It was shocking. Funny thing is it’s supposed to be 85 Friday. Thus is the enigma of California.

Speaking of Friday I have a follow-up Doctor’s appointment I do not want to go to. Sigh. And he wants me to have some tests. Ordinary tests for those my age but still. I hate tests and doctors. I haven’t made any of those appointments yet so I will have to lie a bit Friday and say I did and then I will make them later.

Don’t even ask me when I last went to the dentist. You don’t want to know! LOL.

Ramblings, April 30,2018

So Saturday went off to the two-year-old’s birthday party at Shakey’s. Traffic was horrendous because of an accident so even though we left more than two hours early we were about five minutes late! We did get to meet my three month old grand niece, too. What a sweetheart. Another group of family members were an hour late because of the traffic and we only had the space reserved for an hour and a half. Oops.

Despite the ridiculous speed of the weekend, I did manage to get You’re in My Veins updated. Right after that, of course, AO3 had a meltdown and was down for a while. Sigh. Oh well.

On the agenda this week is Young and Beautiful, All I Ever Wanted, and Unbonded. That’s definitely enough.

I will have new updates to 100 words coming up on the weekend. I am working toward the conclusion of that soon and then after that I don’t know what I will have for the blog. We shall see.

A Bit of Rambling, April 19, 2018

Okay so I am back from several days in Las Vegas celebrating April birthdays in our group. There are a lot. It was way too much socializing for me, to be honest. But there were some highlights as well.

As is fairly normal in Vegas I ate too much. I had great plans to do well on my diet but they didn’t end up working out, alas.

Next up in updating is Anything but I haven’t started it so I don’t know that it will go up today. Unless I write really fast. Which sometimes I do. But I am also catching up at work.

I have more socializing to do this weekend as well as blood tests for the doctor (oh what fun).

I’m behind on pretty much everything so bear with me while I catch up. I do have the next 100 words scheduled for tomorrow.

Shake Rattle and Roll

In case we forget we live in Earthquake territory, we had a 5.3 today off the coast of Channel Islands, which is in my county.

I happened to be home as I have a doctor’s appointment this afternoon and the shaking knocked over a tv tray table and Crazy went…well crazy! LOL

You’ve seen those cartoons where the back end goes faster than the front? That was Crazy the cat in today’s excitement!
