This post is a little self-indulgent and has nothing to do with MY work or Star Trek.
But I have always been a fan of the old poets, poetry you seldom hear these days, ignored mostly by younger generations. But here are three of my favorites if you care to watch and listen
I stumbled across If I Could Tell You I Would Let You Know when searching for other poems and I fell in love
This is from one of my all time favorite movies called A River Runs Through it (directed by Redford). This scene is the oldest son, Norman, coming in as he hears his father quoting Wordsworth’s Splendor in the Grass. I love the back and forth reciting.
Anyway, Just felt like sharing some things that move me other than Star Trek! LOL

Just played all three videos.
I never heard of “If I Could Tell You I Would Let You Know.” It’s lovely. ❤
“The Road Not Taken” is one of my all time favorite poems, ever since we read it in 8th grade. That and “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening!” Two beautiful Robert Frost poems!
I’ve never seen A River Runs Through it. Love this excerpt as well as the poem, that I’ve read before.
Thank you for sharing these!

Somewhere on one of my bookshelves I have an anthology of Robert Frost poems. (If my
oldest daughter didn’t swipe it for her own!)
I also love “Mending Wall”, by Frost.

It’s funny how emotional poems can make me when I’m not even a fan of poetry in general.
Excellent choices.

I was fortunate enough to have something autographed by Walter Koenig, & he quoted the beginning of the Byron poem….
