So I’m not really sure what/if I have planned to post here for April, so likely I will play it by ear/whim when and/if I post a flash.
I should warn May will be a slow month for flashes as well since I am going to be gone for a week to Hawaii on a family vacation.
In the continuing saga (we discovered the leak in the kitchen wall November 07, 2023), we are waiting for the cabinets the repair guys ordered to come in to do the next step. We have walls and that’s pretty much where we stand. Once the cabinets go in, then it’s the counters, and finally the floor, appliances etc. Yes it is mind boggling how long it takes, but keep in mind a large part of that was waiting for insurance to decide what they would pay, etc. We also had to have the HOA insurance in, though they never did do a damn thing. It’s been a very long and tiring and at time quite depressing process. But when I get the new kitchen finally in, I will post pictures.
I’m getting anxious to start a new Starfleet Academy story. Those are, admittedly, my personal favorite. This one will have some hurt/comfort, include an actual relationship with Sam, and of course Spirk. Not sure when I’ll get it going but I will.
This weekend I’ll be going to the Boysenberry Festival at Knott’s Berry Farm. We have annual passes for the park so should be fun. And then the next I am off to Temecula again! Ha. Seems I never sit still.
Here is a picture of the hills by my house. This is while I was out at Petsmart getting Luna her new favorite food!

It’s nuts how long it’s taken. I get some of it but not other parts. Lots of good thoughts your way, hoping it gets finished sooner rather than later
I love the idea for that fic! Gimme gimme!!! 🙂
Post as and if you want to. Of course. I’ll be waiting for anything that goes up but I get it. So no worries!
Hi Luna baby!

SMH that your kitchen is still so far from completion! Just crazy. Hope it will quickly come together at this point! 🤷🏻♀️
I’m a sucker for Academy stories. I’m looking forward to seeing it, whenever you start posting it. And anything else you gift us with!!
I’m so envious of you going to Hawaii. I went there on my honeymoon and then our 5 year anniversary… oh so long ago! Wish I could go again! Enjoy your time there and your other trips. We were supposed to go on a cruise on the Greek Isles, this June. But with my husband’s foot surgery we had to postpone it till next year sometime. This weekend we’re going to drive up to Schenectady, which is a good 3 to 4 Hour drive. without traffic to see the solar eclipse. Not quite Hawaii! Lol! I totally hate highway driving (more phobia than anything!!!) and unfortunately it’ll all fall to me because my husband’s surgery was on his right foot so there’s no way he can drive he’s not allowed to put very much weight on it yet! Sigh! I’d be looking forward to going to see it, if I wasn’t the one driving. And I keep hearing people talking about how traffics gonna be so bad everywhere the totality will be . Like I need to hear that! Dang social media for letting everybody know about this!
we had a partial solar eclipse here in New York. I think in 2016 or 2017. Still have photos of us seeing that. My father somehow had a welders mask, so I have a picture of him with that on. It’s actually pretty funny! . I think he got that from our shed and it originally came from my father-in-law, who had passed away many years before. My father-in-law was a steel worker in a company that made steel beams for buildings in New York City.
We’ve had some teases of spring weather. It was lovely and sunny on Easter Sunday but then it got cloudy and rainy every day since. Then last night at 3 AM, it started snowing and there was actually enough snow on my car that I had to sweep it off with the snow brush that I luckily still had in my car, when I got out of work! … Some Spring? Maybe we’ll finally get warm weather by the time, my birthday and Mother’s Day rolls around. Not holding my breath. Lol!
I hope you have a good weekend and do some fun things enjoy the boysenberry festival! I’m not too sure what a boysenberry is. 🤷🏻♀️ Enjoy! 🥳🫐🍓

Basically it’s a cross between a raspberry and a blackberry and Knott’s Berry Farm is famous for it. Delicious.
Good luck with the eclipse viewing. I have to work but will go outside at some point to check it out!
We’ve had bouts of rain for the most part. Was beautiful yesterday at 78 but it dropped more than 30 degrees today!
