Spirk (with a small dose of Pinto)

I don’t like wine at all, though I decorate with wine bottles, which I DO like very much.

Imagine your picture there with those succulent purple grapes – and imagine an outside room about, oh, 12’X12′ – built about 10′ high, out of pickets and chicken wire – and the pickets are spaced about 5″ apart. Now, in each corner is an old, gnarled, huge grape vine, the vines grown and spread to intertwine ALL OVER – outside and inside the fencing so that it’s literally an exterior room with the walls of gorgeous large leaves and beautiful grapes, That’s what my dad built when they bought that house when I was 9 months old. Inside was our picnic table. It was an amazing beautiful place, but I was young, and we always had it, and I never really appreciated it like I would now. I think it would be worth more than what my parents paid for their house. 3 bedroom. 1 bath. About $6000 I think back then. Which was like $100,000 would be now. Huge corner lot. and then they planted constantly while they lived there. HUGE garden, flowers, fruit and pecan trees everywhere. I wish I’d known then what I know now – what a magical place it really was.

That’s as close as I can get to imagining the magic of your trip as I’ve never been anywhere like where you are and will be.

Happy Pinto de Mayo. Tumblr’s pinto ao3 notification thing doesn’t work any more. Their last notification was MINE, last May 5 2022. So nobody but your subscribers will even know you posted your Pinto fic. I have no idea why it quit working. (I have a friend who sends me tumblr stuff all the time so I found out.) So of course, if anyone ELSE wrote anything, it didn’t notice for them either.
