M got Covid and then gave it to me even though we isolated from each other as soon as we knew. Was too late.
Anyway I’m feeling crappy but not as bad as I could I am sure. This too shall pass but I can’t say I am eager to write at the moment.

You’ve done amazing staying away from this bug for so very long, considering all your interactions out and about, and how CA has been teeming with it from the beginning, being on the coast near so many hubs of international travel, and every variant showing up there. I think I’d heard LA was going to reinstitute a mask mandate for indoors but then decided not to, since so many said they wouldn’t enforce it.
But some of the places you go have lots of people from many places.
And yet – it only takes being around that ONE person who actually has it that bites you in the backside.
I’m just so sorry. So glad you’re all vax’ed up and boosted up. Hopefully that means it won’t feel worse than a bad cold and you’ll recover quickly. You’re in quite famous company having it right now!

The media is all screwed up about everything right now though. They reported that Las Vegas, NM only has 50 days clean water left at this time.
And then the stupid media grabbed it and started screaming that it was Las Vegas, NV, even though at the same time they’re reporting that rainstorm that was collapsing roofs and flooding streets. SMH.
You just can’t trust ’em. Ever.

Yep two years of being so careful and I got it anyway, apparently like almost everyone else! I went out right now I am Zuzu with a smidge of temperature, lol
I think it’s going to be mildish but its been a few years since I’ve even had a cold so it pretty much bites

I hear ya. Even though I’m still pretty sure masks (as most of us were wearing them) don’t do much to protect from viruses, they DEFINITELY DO protect from some of the other diseases that are still just as much around now as they were before 2020. I haven’t had anything at all since a bad bout of food poisoning for my BD 3 years ago, pre-pandemic. And if I’d had my mask on instead of eating at Taco Bell, I wouldn’t have gotten that one either! LOL

That’s great. And in Taco Bell’s defense, I’ve eaten there for years and this was the only time I ever got sick from anything there. But it was the sickest I’ve ever EVER been by super far. 3 days of hell and horrors and – indescribable – well, more horrors. And all alone. Stupid cat didn’t offer to help even once. But I got through it. Let’s just say a LOT linens had to be bagged up and deposited in the trash dumpster (as soon as I could). And TB lost a good customer for life.
The only other time I’ve had food poisoning was in NM decades ago, and that was on the way to a cabin where…well, we had to use an outhouse. The first 3 trips, I was hoping a bear didn’t eat me. By the 4th+ trips, I was praying a bear ate me. I seldom made it all the way down there or all the way back. And my wonderful husband? Let’s just say I shoulda divorced him THEN, not waited years longer. His mom and dad finally woke up and heard me and took care of me the rest of the night so I actually survived. Without them? I’m not sure.

No, I don’t seem to need the one they’ve been giving out for high risk people unless I get a lot worse, right now I don’t think it’s warranted and hope it isn’t

Oh no! Hope you and M are feeling better soon. More and more people are getting it now. My husband and I are still managing to avoid it . 🤞🤞 My came home around Mother’s Day this year,right before graduation. My oldest in Brooklyn, their S.O. had it as did a total of of her 7 apartment mates (Yes 8 people in one tiny apartment!!!! So there were 7 with Covid at the same time! )
Just rest, recuperate and pamper yourself. Keep hydrated with non caffeine beverages. Best remedy around.

M’s feeling a lot better but with the cough still
I’m a couple days behind but I am pretty sure I will survive. I do have a sore throat now
