Went and saw the latest Jurassic Park for nephew’s birthday. It was fun having a theater to ourselves (well friends and family) but my sister missed out as she tested positive for COVID. She’s fine with only a scratchy throat but man was she disappointed. I loved seeing the original cast.
Besides that we watched The Lost City on our big screen TV (55 inch) which has Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum and basically is a redo of Romancing the Stone. Cute though and spoiler alert Brad Pitt had a brief role with an…abrupt end shall we say LOL.
Finally we also watched Daniel Craig’s last Bond movie, No Time to Die. Basically your typical hyper masculine Bond movie.

I’m so glad you had a good time! Wishing sister a speedy recovery and mild illness. It still sucks. But hopefully it won’t keep her down for long.
I also love that you’re giving us ones to read with these. Sometimes I forget about all the awesome stories!

Woohoo! I’m so glad you got to have some non-work time this weekend and enjoyed it.
So sorry about your sister’s positive test and not getting to be with everyone and all the fun. Dangit! What rotten timing for stupid disease.
I watched All the Old Knives. Wow. Just wow. Right up to the final moments.
And so gorgeous it made me teary. Some beautiful scenes.
I won’t spoil anything. Cause, like, you already know how gorgeous he is in it. You’ve seen the trailers and images. The only thing that makes me furious is that I can’t buy it. It’s Amazon Prime membership or you’re just SOL. Maybe I can figure out a way to record it, because I really wanna own it. I certainly understand why Chris jumped at the chance to get hold of this property. He deserves lots of awards for this year’s works!
I may never see any of the ones you saw this weekend. I haven’t even seen much on a list I made when I retired, that I really wanted to see. I’ve just lost most interest in anything hollywood.
Well, hang in there for yet another work week of overtime.

I’ll have to check out all the old knives and yes he is gorgeous in it
I like watching movies so it’s been nice and yep back to OT but sounds like it may not go on as long as they originally though but we shall see
I did 21 hours last pay period just in OT not fun

Sounds like you had a good weekend. Sorry to hear about your sister and the bad timing. Ughhh! My twins at College, tested positive several weeks before graduation and had to come home to quarantine for five days. One came home on Mother’s Day. And the other one came home the next day on Monday. The only perk in the whole thing was they got home in time for my birthday, which was Tuesday May 10 and they were able to have birthday cake and sort of celebrate with me via FaceTime. Lol! However, they missed out the last day of class and all the fun activities happening on campus prior to graduation. I’m sure that being sorta with old Mom was not comparable! But they were fully vaccinated and just had mild symptoms. No one else in the family tested positive at that time.

I thought the new Jurassic Park was alright. I did enjoy seeing the original three back 🙂 James Bond was also alright. But I did enjoy the Lost City quite a bit. Saw the Lightyear movie today. It was good.
