A while back I spent an insane amount of money to get a picture of the TOS cast (from the movies) from Galaxy Con with three signatures of the remaining four Trek cast members (Walter, George and Bill).
It arrived today. I tried to get a decent picture without the light shining on it. Not sure I succeeded.
I’ll be getting it framed, of course (and yes that is part of my hand lol, if I didn’t hold it there was a HUGE spot of light in the middle, ah well I tried)

Yeah, you can add me to your November jealousy fics thingy. I’ve been looking at those on galaxycon and wishing….but of course, I could never afford any of them – and some are soooooo special. And then I’d think, at my age to do that…..and when I die, my family would just toss them in the trash as worth nothing. So…..just wouldn’t be wise in any way. But I wish. So yeah, I’m super jealous!!!!
And I agree it’s a wonderful purchase. Thank you for sharing a pic of the pic!
And yeah, you’re nuts but 1. we already knew that and 2. that’s why we’re here – takes one to know one, misery loves company, etc!! Congrats!

Believe me, I debated over it for a bit because it is a lot and likely when I die the same thing will happen to my Star Trek stuff, I know from experience what happened to much of my mother’s stuff. It was either donated or trashed, so yes, I can expect the same. But I also thought, well, when is this opportunity ever going to come up for me again when I have a little bit of a financial cushion? So I did it. I regretted it some as soon as I pushed the paypal button but in the end I get to enjoy it for whatever time I do have whether it’s short or long and so it’s a lovely thing, I think. ❤

Oh, if I were as young as you, heck yeah I’d have no reservations whatsoever buying some of those treasured items. You have MANY years left to enjoy them!
