This has been a cool week for August, even some pretty overcast days with heavy drizzle. It’s supposed to be hot next week though, so we will enjoy it this week. Here are some pictures at the resort where I stayed and why I found it so peaceful.

We had a wonderful time but sad it is over of course. Vacations never last long enough

I have nothing written and scheduled at this point for the rest of August but I will see what I can do. No promises. That’s tomorrow, Wednesday, Friday, and Monday. I might be able to get three of those done but I am uninspired for tomorrow.

Pretty much overwhelmed with jealousy here.

That’s because I lost every dollar I brought with me and then some! I made the walk of shame as they call it and took more money out of the ATM and lost it too. So yeah, ugh! LOL. My sister did much better

It does look incredibly peaceful! I’m glad you had the time away. And enjoyed it! Even if it didn’t last long enough.
Looking forward to fics! Of course. But only as you’re inspired. I love reading them but having to wait only build anticipation:)

I had to stop scrolling at the Godiva Sundae! Oh my!! Ice cream 🍨 and liquor 🍸! Potent
Combination. Now you got me craving Godiva chocolate liquor . I’m going to have to try to recreate a version of this.
The resort looks like a great place to unwind and relax. It’s great to just get away! My husband and I went for a few days, just the two of us out on Long Island,, NY. We went to some north shore beaches on Long Island sound that have calmer waves compared to the Atlantic side on the south shore. Also went to a winery out there. We have officially gone to wineries in three different regions of New York State just since my birthday in May. We currently have about three or four cases of wine… enough wine to help us get through the winter. LOL!! Considering I work nights and it’s kind of hard to drink wine in the evening and go to work later on, this could take us awhile! I think I’m up to the challenge. 😜😂🤣
No worries about updates or new flashes. If we need an Ivan fix, we have plenty to look back at.
Stay safe. We have Hurricane Henri heading way East of us now. Just a lot of rain, but nothing crazy yet. 🙏🤞

We recently visited wineries ourselves and are members of two wine clubs so yep, lol, I get it! I share the wine clubs with my sister and for Christmas we are thinking of getting her a small wine fridge 🙂 Her friend we went with a week or so ago has one that fits 100 bottles! Yikes ha ha
That ice cream drink was yummy but super filling. It has ice cream, crushed cookies, chocolate sauce and Godiva Liquor
