The first chapter of this fic (one of my favs) was June 15, 2016. It was a reader prompt of sorts. Something this person wanted to write but never felt they could.
“Hey!”
“You got a reason to be yelling, kid?”
“Name’s Jim, remember?’ Jim Kirk slung his bag onto his new bunk. Damn it was tiny. He wasn’t convinced his legs wouldn’t dangle down off the edge. And how was he supposed to get it on with anyone in such a tiny bed. He picked up the plain white envelop that simply read Jim. ”You leave this for me?”
His roomie, Leonard McCoy, or so he’d learned on the transport there, scrunched up his face. “I got here same time as you.”
“Oh. Right.”
“Family member?”
Jim snorted at that. “Hardly. I have no family. None to speak of or speak to anyway. What do you say we get out of here and go get a drink?”
“We just got here.”
Jim grinned. “I know. And it’s already boring! Let’s get some action.”
Leonard McCoy rolled his eyes. “All right. But I’ve got a few rules.”
Jim pulled on his leather jacket. “Yeah? Like what?”
“No messes! I’m a doctor not a housekeeper.”

Oh my god why am I so bad at this?? I’ve only gotten one so far. And this week….I remember this. I do. But I honestly have no idea.

I have literally no idea. I’m sorry it hasn’t been successful in the way you wished.
I on the other hand think it’s HIGHLY successful because it sparks the need to go reread things I’ve forgotten.
It’s your fault, actually. Nobody in the fandom has written so many as you, and so many many chapters on most all of them over so many years.
And hey, you can’t be responsible for our lack of eidetic memory! haha I have seriously reread mine and come across a few paragraphs and think – OMG – I don’t even remember writing that!!! And I only have like 12. And all in the past 3 years.
I love this feature and always can’t wait for the link to go read it! I would ask you, if it doesn’t take too much time, to please continue it. I mean, you can’t do it in December, obviously, but to pick it back up in January….

Definitely DEFINITELY worth it. 1. I HATE Tuesday with no fic, same as I did Thursdays. And Saturdays and Sundays. Now I look forward to them!
But I don’t like begging for more time consuming work from you.

Maybe instead of giving lines from the fic, give us the summary. When I saw the summary, I knew exactly which one it was. Maybe????

I’m sorry I’ve dropped off the planet and haven’t been commenting lately. I’ve had a terribly emotionally compromised week. I’ve had a sinus infection, my real life has been shitty and the impending Election Day has had me wound up tighter than an Aldebron shellmouth or whatever it is that they said in TOS. Ughhh. Hoping things improve this week for us all!!
BTW. I’m terrible at guessing, whether it’s trivia or story names. But I do love seeing the teasers and then getting the chance to reread it. So please consider continuing it.
