With the governor of California closing bars and making the strong recommendation that restaurants only do curbside service, my trip to Morro Bay has officially been canceled.
I am devastated to be honest.
Not sure what will happen in the days to come. I forgot to send my Bang story home to myself Friday, but I expect to be at work tomorrow and I will do so then. If anything changes…well…know knows. Everything is is canceled, maybe that will be too.

Gah! I feared that was coming when I heard they were shutting things down. I’m so sorry love. Hopefully you can go sometime soon, after all this passes.

Yeah, our state is under a state of emergency. Governor closed all schools. Found out I will get paid so that’s something good.
I’m trying to stay positive but not overthink things with the virus. But with the Sunday’s paper headline being ‘first death in virginia’ it kind of makes it hard.
Hopefully in a month things have died down and the virus has stopped spreading things will go back to normal.
I’m sorry you are missing a trip to your favorite place again. 😦
hugs!

They say we are five weeks behind where China is/was. If that’s true, China has opened back up and people have gone back to work, so hopefully a month will have us returning to…well, not normal because the Overton Window has shifted so we’ll return to our NEW normal.
I am sorry abour your trip. If misery loves company, at least you know you have plenty of company. Everyone who now can’t go on a trip. And even more so for the owners of those facilities who now have no income and have had to send employees home.
It’s a cold, cruel, harsh reality for millions. Parents who have to figure out what to do about their children now home from school till further notice.
Really – it’s just…everything. Everything will be touched by this.
And eventually, we will ALL have this disease, whether now, or in the future, a mild case, a stronger case, as it mutates, etc. I mean, the flu we have now is a variant of the Spanish Flu – we all get it, though now millions don’t die.
Everything is changed. Just like WW2. Everything changed. A lot never went back to the way it was before.

Yep very true, but hopefully I can re-do my trip at a later date so we will see.
But yeah, we will all get it and it will become another virus we must deal with until the next one comes, new and ready to get us 🙂

Gah! I’m sorry your trip is cancelled. Hopefully in the very near future it will all open up again! This will be a year that will go down in infamy. So many plans disrupted for so many! Kids home from college, Weddings postponed, I’ve even heard of funerals postponed! 💙😢
I’m so glad I’m not a nurse in a hospital right now. It’s got to be nuts there. It’s crazy enough at my place, which is a nursing home and rehab facility! So far there has only been two people from my upstate county diagnosed with the virus… and that just happened yesterday.
We’re all bound to come in contact with the virus sooner or later. Hopefully things will calm down soon!

I sure hope so. I saw a story this morning that made me cry. A lady in Massachusetts that turned 100 was at a home for the elderly and her family came to celebrate with her but they had to be outside her room and they sang to her and visited with her from outside and she waved and blew kisses at them, it was the saddest damn thing. I wanted to hug her but most of all I wanted her family to be able to hug her. I am tearing up thinking about it. She was all happy they were there and I was sad for her because they should have gotten to BE with her. Poor sweetheart. Life sure sucks sometimes. 😦
