I Miss Crazy

Okay, so The Mysterious One and My Devotion have both now been updated.

I must now turn my attention the the flash for this week before anything else, but I am pleased I was able to get those updates done!

In other news they are predicting rain for us this weekend. Sigh. We go years without rain and now it all has to come at once! Grrr

Yesterday was a fasting day and by the time I went to bed I was feeling pretty miserable. I had a headache and felt icky. M tested me though and my blood sugar was at 89 so not too low or anything. I probably just felt sorry that I wasn’t eating! HA HA.

No movie out tonight as there is nothing we want to see but we have a Netflix DVD we might watch. RIPD which is supposed to be super bad. HA HA.

For the last week and a half I have met my step goal of 10,000 steps every day so that’s good for me! Hopefully eventually all this stuff will pay off to lower the blood pressure so I don’t pop a vein or something. Family history, so you know.

March is coming and without Daylight Savings Time and Spring. YAY

A Sad Day

Tonight was awful.

We lost one of our babies, Crazy.

IMG_3513 She hadn’t been feeling right the last couple of days, throwing up and not eating much, so M made an appointment for her Tuesday morning. When we got home from work to take her, she was bad. Really bad. Hiding from us (sick cats hide). She didn’t fight us going, which is very unusual.

Anyway, after waiting for the vet forever the vet said she felt a mass in her tummy. They did an X-ray and she had probably multiple masses. She was fading before our eyes and after discussing options, we made the very very hard decision to let her pass peacefully. We were with her with she died. I kissed her little head.

From the first time I saw her, I fell in love. We went to look at kittens after we lost our old cat a few months before and M wanted Luna because she was short haired. My gaze had fallen right on a little black fluffy lemur looking kitten. I kept going back to her but M was stuck on Luna. So we chose Luna and the adoption guy said since she was a kitten they had a policy that you had to adopt two. I don’t know if he was full of crap or saw the love in my eyes, but I went right to Crazy and scooped her up. She purred and purred. It was love.

I cannot tell you how much joy, love, and laughter she brought into my life when I really needed it. There were so many many times she made me smile and laugh but only cry this one time, her last.

I miss her so much already and I will always will.

The Girls

Since I didn’t get my update for The Love of a Lifetime done, the girls thought they would make an appearance.

Scaredy Cat

Currently they are repainting the outside of the building our townhome is in I forget when they painted it last but they are painting it again. This time white with gray trim. Seems like it would get dirty fast.

They started yesterday.

During this process they tape up all your windows. We have a skylight too so that got taped too. Then they use some sort of power paint sprayer. I’m guessing it’s loud. And I am also guessing there are several men working at once because the buildings are large and they got quite a bit done in one day. Men when they are working outside tend to be loud and yell back and forth to each other. Probably stomped on the roof too.

We returned home from work yesterday to find the cats hiding. Surprisingly Luna was the braver one this time and she came out to eat and see us. Luna is a huge huge coward. Crazy aka Trixie is usually the brave one. Not this time. She was hiding under the bed in the guest room. She wouldn’t even come out for her afternoon feeding.

We left to go to dinner and when we returned they both seemed okay. Crazy was out and had her before bedtime meal. She did keep staring at the plastic stuck to the windows.

This morning before we left for work, she was back under the bed, even though the men don’t start work until around 8 and we left just after 6. She wouldn’t come for breakfast.Luna ate hers. Now you know why Luna is chubby.

Anyone who knows about cats know that they got that Scaredy  Cat rep for a reason. I expect the men to be here the rest of the week, so poor Crazy is going to give herself a little kitty heart attack.
