In a few short weeks, my WordPress subscription will come due for about $70. I need to decide if I’m renewing or shutting this down, finally.
This would mean no Christmas flashes up here this year if I canceled, but there would still be Christmas/Holiday stories on AO3.
Any thoughts or opinion?

I was not sure ” liking ” this was accurate under the circumstances but to paraphrase Last Of the Mohicans – “Stay alive & I will find you !” Oh, & sorry I didn’t get back to you right away about ZQ’s series (my band went out on the road briefly) but he plays an unconventional gay neurologist who’s based on an actual unconventional gay neurologist; I think you might find some inspo for your art watching it…& I see that CP has written a children’s book !

That’s so cool about your band touring. In a few short weeks I’m going to see the two geezers Rick Springfield and Richard Marx. I’m closer in age to Marx LOL. We’re working on possibly seeing Patti Labelle the same weekend but we aren’t sure about that yet.
As for ZQ, I do have Peacock streaming so I may have to check that out. And someone else told me about CP too 🙂

I hope you don’t leave. I enjoy your WordPress posts- stories, photos, and updates on your life. It feels more personal than just the act of reading your great stories. I feel there’s a connection between you and your readers ( including myself).

I would say to ask yourself if you get $70 worth of enjoyment out of it and to go with what you have a sense of peace about, but I see that I’m too late, you’ve already decided, lol. No complaints though, it’s exactly the decision that I was hoping you’d make. Now we can all keep enjoying your stories 😁 No pressure about how often or when you post either; just enjoy doing it 😊

Well, $70 is no small change for some of us, me included, but I can’t say I haven’t spent that kind of money on frivolous crap before, so I figured I’d give it a go for one more year. Now if they raise it a lot for next year I will definitely be revisiting the decision but for now, I guess 2025 is good!

So true, that kind of money isn’t anything to sneeze at but, as you said, you’re good for the year. Too bad there isn’t a cheaper site to post on. I’ve never looked into it, but WordPress isn’t sounding too competitively priced; who knows though, they could be a steal of a deal compared to others.
