Spirk (with a small dose of Pinto)

You know back when I was a guppy on AO3 every time someone on there begged me to update whatever story it was at the time “ASAP please please” I used to get all hyper excited and anxious to please them. I’d immediately drop all other stuff, even personal things I needed to get done so I could write and post that next chapter, anxiously awaiting that reader’s reaction to the next chapter. Only to have….crickets. They never responded to that next chapter. And that happened over and over and over to me. It really messes with you because it makes you think you failed somehow in that update. The point? I still get people asking me to update stuff on there right away and I end up gently replying that I will, of course, get to it when I can. Because I learned I just end up disappointed when I get no reaction and so yes, thank you. I have learned to write what I want when I want because of things like that. I’m not like some on there who act like how dare you even ask me to update something I haven’t updated for 5 years, but I do reign in my excitement, my inner Sally Field (you like me, you really like me) these days LOL 🙂
And yep, We’ll all be watching fireworks in a matter of days!
