Spirk (with a small dose of Pinto)

In the same way I recently deleted all my fics (except the ones I gave to you and peridots and the perry mason guy and AO3 won’t let me have back to delete), and quit writing, I’m pretty much done with reading anyone but you – and enjoying the occasional quick peek at fanart. I read non-stop for 6 years in all my free time, and wow, I’ve had a LOT of free time. But even Forrest Gump decided one day after running non-stop for 2 years, that he was just tired and his running days were over – that’s exactly what my brain said about reading fanfic. And I NEVER dreamed that day would come. I guess what they say really IS true about too much of a good thing.

I can’t imagine a day coming when I quit reading yours….but my brain (or lack thereof) surprises me everyday, so… Though I’m now shocked every day at the little details I remember – even from 5 minutes, an hour, a day, a month ago, etc. (loss of short term memory I believe is the first symptom of Alzheimer’s. I guess that’s a bullet I may actually dodge, though my mother and so many in her family, and then finally my one sibling, all died of it.)

I haven’t watched TV hardly at all in 6 years now. And whether I was watching or not, I used to have it going all the time (sometimes even when I slept) for company and to drown out the tinnitus.

(Which btw – reminder Chris is on Corden’s late late show tonight).

And I’m gonna go see D&D after all the spring breaks are over. Or I’ll make myself be patient and just stream it. Chris seems really proud of it and goofy happy about it – and he really IS the star of it, even with an ensemble cast. But that might just be publicity. And WOW – they’ve obviously spent MILLION$ on publicity with these guys.

I haven’t ever had COVID and I’m hoping to make it to the end without experiencing it at all. (I haven’t even had a cold since I can’t remember – at LEAST 5 years.) Hopefully the FBI and CDC won’t come confiscate me and dissect me to figure out why I haven’t, other than I’m pretty much a hermit. I DO get out sometimes! LOL
