We’ve been getting hammered with a storm the last few days (Friday night was wicked) and this morning we woke to snow on the local hills. I attempted a picture from my sister’s backyard window where you can sorta see the snow on the top of the hills past the leafless winter trees.

Naturally after I told M’s sister who lives in North Dakota, she was suitably impressed. And sent THESE pictures from her house. Now, really, where would YOU rather live? LOL

I saw a news report that said some places in SOCAL got 6 FEET of snow. Is that not true? Or is it JUST in the mountains? Certainly doesn’t look like it around you.

The funniest part is – I got practically NO SNOW at all this winter. Just dusting for a few minutes one night. Though snow was in our forecast several times. Just never happened.

Yeah I think that happens a lot in areas that get snow more than we do. The last time there was actual snow in our streets here in my city not just the frosting in the hills was 1989. It is a RARE occurence. But the rain the last few days and in January has been pretty heavy

It’s true just not us. We got the snow on the hills but none down on the streets near us. We did have hail.
Mountains got hit with a lot. And even Palm Springs which is the desert got snow. So YES it is true, but not where I live LOL. Other than that bot of frosting on our hills 🙂

Wow. I’d rather have 6 feet of snow than any hail. Hail costs thousands of dollars of car and roof repairs. 😲😲

Yes hail is nasty but this was at least teeny tiny. When I went to Yellowstone we got hit with hail that absolutely HURT when it pelted you this was very tiny hail yesterday but definitely hail

That hail that destroyed my roof a few years ago, it was teeny tiny but I guess the wind was blowing because it ruined every roof in my little town. AND it was 12 inches deep. Which – I’ve never seen anything like that in my entire life. Hope nobody ever does again! What a nightmare for everyone, including my roofer who committed suicide. (Thankfully not on my roof. Hope that doesn’t sound insensitive.)

I’m from upstate NY, but now live in Phoenix. It may be as hot as Vulcan in the summer, but I’d sure rather be here than dealing with all that snow. Stay safe, warm and dry.🖖

I have been to many locations in Arizona but when I went to Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon it was snowing there!

There’s no denying all that sunshine with snow in the distance isn’t pretty though!

oh and I forgot to mention the closet restuarant of any kind (yes even the McDonalds) is 40 milies away. They have literally nothing there. But you go ahead LOL

That is too much snow for me in N Dakota.
We are having a weird winter in VA. It was 60s-80s all week and then suddenly dropped to the 40s yesterday with rain and today. Deceptive Spring everyone is saying LOL
I wouldn’t mind a smidge of snow. Like enough to get a day out of work or maybe a delay going in but not enough that I have to shovel a lot.

Ughh snow is pretty to look at and it’s peaceful listening to it fall. It brings a muffled hush to the air … however, it’s scary to drive through when I have to get to work.
We’ve had no measurable snow this winter in the Hudson River Valley! 👍👍 A few days ago, we had a tiny coating but it melted rapidly.
However, we are bound to break our streak… they are predicting 6-8 inches of it tonight into tomorrow! This morning it was sunny a feeling Spring-like Luckily for me, last week a per diem supervisor was complaining to me that she wasn’t getting enough shifts and she volunteered to work my overnight shift tonight! She’s already doing the evening shift. And tomorrow night is my regular day off. Hallelujah!!!
It was a tough weekend at work and I definitely need the 2 consecutive days off!
All in all, I’m ready for Spring.
