In case you missed it, I have officially announced on AO3 that I am also the author “Jesse4Love” on there. At the time I created the account, I will confess here, I used it to kudo my own fics, because I didn’t think I was getting enough love at the time. Subsequently, I decided to use the account to write stories I might not write on there as IvanW, but since then, I have decided to continue a story I had abandoned some months back.

In progress story, Our So Called Life. Jim and Spock meet as children. Eveningstar, as she will no doubt discover, read it when it was listed as my incognito name.
The other is, that despite my wishiwashness, I am going to continue the blog, at least for now, beyond September 1. So you can expect flashes for 09/06, 09/13, 09/20. and 09/27 for that month. I am going to attempt to write fics for songs. Meaning the flash will somehow fit with a song. I already have one in mind, but if you want to suggest something, I am open to hearing.
And I think that’s everything. Expect a flash tomorrow, of course.

You are such a hoot! You didn’t have to admit all that to us. But thank you for considering us trusted friends enough to share it with us. I had already read and enjoyed Life As We Know It. I would never guess anything about anybody on ao3, I swear. I am THE most believing (or as my kids would say gullible) person on earth. But..you know, there’s a lot I don’t need to know. I don’t care WHAT name you write under, as long as you keep writing and I keep getting to read.
But I’m thrilled you’ve decided to keep the blog. I always look forward to seeing what you’re up to. And anyway, the blog tells us what fic(s) you have scheduled to update each week, and that means a lot to me. I can emotionally prepare! (I know, I know. I’m not the typical reader – I read word for word and internalize it all. I’m a pain in the butt to every writer, I think. Especially would be to the writers of TOS if I could get hold of them!!! haha)
So…just thank you.

It’s cool. I mean I think most of us have kudoed our own work on there in some form or another. Or I suspect so. Worse yet I am sure Jesse commented on some work that I was the best or something. Now looking back, that’s especially embarrassing! HA HA.
Jim as the nerdy science officer is a very popular concept I guess. So that fic did well even as it was. But I am already getting more kudos for Our So-Called Life.

I’m happy you’re continuing, but mostly because (as I’ve said before) I love hearing the background behind your writing 🙂
My ongoing air conditioner saga for those who care – so I’m Scottish (though I sound as plummy England as you can get) and have never understood a need for it. We are now regularly topping 35 in London (sorry I don’t know that in American (agree that’s not a temp but the rest of us use centigrade!!) but it’s hot), and I can’t plumb in real aircon.
I’ve never used portable units; are they any good?
I don’t want to sweat while reading Spirk…well, I mean …
