As alluded to (or plainly stated) in today’s comments, I am taking April 01-April 09 off from posting.
Here on the blog and on A03. I need the break.
What that means is that April 7 (Good Friday) there will be no “Bombay” post. There will be one for this Friday, March 31, 2023, though.
And alas this is not an April Fool’s Post early. I’ll have something up April 10th. Thank you!
Spock now sat in his living room, cat on his lap, trying to wrap his logical mind as to why Commander James T. Kirk would be the cat that Spock had rescued and was now fostering.
A line from an old Earth’s scribe came to mind.
There are more things in Heaven and Earth, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
From all accounts and Starfleet records, James Kirk was an ordinary Human. A brilliant, high-achieving one, notwithstanding. However, if the cat now staring at him with striking blue eyes was indeed Kirk than accounts were not accurate.
Now there was a chance that something on the planet the shuttlecraft had crashed on had somehow turned Kirk into the creature now in Spock’s apartment, but Spock didn’t think so.
He recalled after speaking with George Samuel Kirk that he read that the hole in the door of the shuttle had been too small for a Human to escape through, which was one of the reasons the authorities had decided that Kirk perished along with the others in the crash, even after not finding evidential remains. And that had been a logical conclusion if they did not have all the information needed to determine that.
But George Samuel Kirk had declared to Spock without hesitation that the hole in the door had been big enough for Jim. And if Kirk was in the form of this feline on his lap, that would make him fit through that hole.
Yet Kirk, if this was indeed somehow him, had not changed back to Human form.
“What are your secrets?” Spock asked Bombay.
Bombay made the tiniest of meow sounds, more like a kitten than a full-grown cat and then put his paw on Spock’s face.
Spock blinked at the cat. “You want me to meld with you?”

I have a flash up tomorrow, will have Bombay up Friday, and there’s a flash scheduled for Monday. I also have written the next chapter of Cosmic Love which should go up soon. See, I don’t leave you high and dry!
I’ll be gone all weekend though from Friday-Sunday, so I won’t be able to comment on comments here placed Friday as I won’t have access to WordPress from my phone, so will respond when I get home.
In the meantime, enjoy the weekend (oh and tomorrow’s flash of course which I will be here for)

I am working on it. But I had to go into the office Wednesday and I’m dealing with some mood issues also and as you probably have noticed I updated a bunch of works in progress. I’ll get the update done at some point but wanted to give fair warning!

It’s been a while since I’ve done a movie review of sorts but here ya go.
I finally got around to seeing Don’t Worry Darling which was directed by Olivia Wilde (she also plays a role) and stars Florence Pugh and Harry Styles with Chris Pine as the “villain”.
Major Spoil Alert- don’t read any further if you don’t want to know big details. I am serious about this.
First I’ll say I would not have watched it if Chris Pine wasn’t in it. And he looks gorgeous in it. He’s got charisma as the character too though he is evil.
Anyway much has been made of the fact Harry and Olivia were a couple at the time but they really have no screen time together. I think they’ve since broken up. I think Harry should stick to singing pop. I even like a couple of his catchy pop songs. He’s no great actor but I wouldn’t say he’s the worst ever.
Florence is the main focus of the movie. Also much has been made of a scene where Harry goes down on her in the movie but it really doesn’t last long and there’s only really one more brief sex scene. Neither scene includes nudity. If you’d gone to the bathroom during either of the scenes you would have missed them.
She’s decent in the role but I wouldn’t say she was stunning in it. I found the plot to be pretty convoluted and it made little sense. I kept thinking, what’s the point of this movie again?
As I said, Chris is gorgeous and good in his limited time on screen. He really doesn’t have many scenes but when he is on there you can’t really look away. At the end though when his entire plan falls apart he is killed by his also evil wife. I am beginning to think he dies in more movies than he lives. Sean Bean is famous for dying in more movies than almost any other actor (there are even memes about it) but I am starting to think Chris will give him a run for his money.
Bottom line: It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen. The California scenery was gorgeous. Chris was gorgeous. It was pretty forgettable all around.
And there you have it. Saving some of you, perhaps from seeing it! LOL

Yes, yes, I am well aware I need to do an update on Random Stranger. I am working on it. Actually that’s a lie. I’m not. But I will be. I am actually working on chapter 2 of Bombay as I need to have that up for Friday, but once that chapter is done, I will on Random Stranger.
So little time to get everything I need to get done. Sigh. And I have been admittedly lazy lately. Maybe I should have that AI program write my chapters as the spam I keep getting on this site suggests, LOL
This weekend is one of my great niece’s 5th birthday party. They live in a place called Rancho Cucamonga and it is about an hour and a half away, so not only do you have to spend hours at the party but tack on 3 hours for travel to and from. Ah, well. Such is life.
I don’t have any pretty pictures of my own I am afraid as I have been lazy there too. No walking or anything. Shameful.
If I’m gonna keep this thing going and I guess I am for now, the plan for February is Love, obviously.
How does this differiante from every other Spirk flash? Who knows.
