As you may remember my Hawaii trip is coming up. I leave for a week on Saturday.
I don’t plan on posting anything here this week and obviously when I am gone and the rest of May.
When I do come back I will need to make a decision about this blog’s future. I have a little blog fatigue to be honest. Constantly trying to come up with something to post here is wearing me down.
If I close things down here for good I will likely move to posting things like Christmas in July and other blog themes to AO3 but I’m not yet ready to make that decision, so for now I am taking a blog vacation and hope in June (when is when I think I will get back to posting here possibly, I will have made a decision).
My kitchen is closer though not done still and when I do have those pictures ready, I will post them. I have walls, floor, cabinets and counters, but no appliances in place or hardware on the cabinets, so several things still need to happen but we are a lot closer.

A blog vacation to make a decision sounds like a good idea. Especially bc you have way more fun things to focus on for right now.

I’m glad your kitchen, reconstruction is at least moving along, even if it’s at a snails pace! Will they be working on it while you’re away on vacation? It would be nice to come back to a completed kitchen. I’m happy for you that you’re able to travel to Hawaii and get some nice relaxation in. I’m quite envious of you. I’ve been there twice, but it was a very long time ago. I’d be sad to see your blog go. But as I always said you don’t owe us updates and series of stories with different themes each month. For me reading, the blog is sort of like having a penpal in my opinion because it’s a little bit of chatter back-and-forth about things other than just the storyline. 🤷🏻♀️ lol! If you did delete it, would you move the stories all over to ao3?
I have work later tonight, but then I’m off Tuesday and only have to work Thursday and Friday and I’ll be off Friday Saturday and Sunday for my birthday and Mother’s Day and my oldest is coming up from Brooklyn on Saturday, which will be nice to see her. So we’re going to celebrate my birthday on Friday. My daughter is coming up Saturday and will celebrate Mother’s Day / birthday and then Sunday of course crlbfrate Mother’s Day with my husband and my twins! My husband is still not fully weight bearing on the foot he had surgery on at the end of January. 🤷🏻♀️😬 It’s been tedious having to drive him to and from work on the days one of my twins that’s underemployed isn’t available.
Not to mention, cooking most of the dinners when I usually don’t and having to work nights! Sleep? Who needs it?! Lol!!!

No we don’t want strangers in our townhome while we are not home so it’s just not practical to have them work on it while we are gone.
To give you an idea of the incompetency of the repair company, our kitchen is all white. We wanted a double bowled/sided white sink (the gorillas that destroyed our kitchen damaged our old sink), well when the sink got ordered it was black. That will not go in an all white kitchen. So they went back and swapped that sink out and got a single bowl/sided white sink. Also will not work. So…sigh, that just causes more delays obviously. But we’ve made more progress in the last month than the prior 5-6 months before. So there is that.
I decided to move that story to A03 as I knew I just wasn’t up to posting stories here so it was either abandon it or get it up there.
Wow you do have a really busy but I hope enjoyable week ahead of you. Happy Birthday and Mother’s Day to you 🙂

Hey you could also have gotten a sink that’s white on one side on black on the other, as in that crazy 😝 planet with Half n half people, that my husband is always quoting! 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🖤🐼🤍
I’m sorry you have the most incompetent people, unfortunately, to come into your kitchen! Are you sure you’re not in an episode of Candid Camera? Yeah, I wouldn’t want people coming into my apartment while I was away either. It just would be nice to come home from vacation and have everything looking good.

I hope you have a wonderfully awesome time in Hawaii and a relaxing blog vacation. You do so much for us here, it’s understandable to have fatigue. We appreciate you and all the stories and little snippets of your life. Looking forward to anything to come on here or just on Ao3 🙂
