Hopefully no one is melting too much
As indicated, I have no particular theme or plan for August but I am sure you can expect a few flashes.
My super main goal is to conclude Cosmic Love.
Then I will get to everything else. I’ve already had one reader ask me to update Still the Best and another ask me if I had abandoned Welcome to Enterprise, which of course I had not.
So that’s where I am at.
Good things will come…I hope.
I’m off for the next 3 days to my wonderful second home, I wish LOL
We are headed to Solvang, Morro Bay and Cambria (my second home all of them and where I would retire if I had a choice)

I uploaded a story called Whom Gods Destroy (after the episode) “anonymously” for a couple of reasons.
Anyway, so I don’t know. I started chapter 2 already but now given the decided lack of apparent interest I may just delete it and call it a failed experiment. I wasn’t intending to maker certain details super graphic but again there would be some pretty heavy angst.
So yeah. I just don’t know.
Though AO3 is “technically” back it’s having many many issues. Given that I chose to go back in and delete A Soft Present. I will put it back up when the site is functioning better at some point in the future.

In the continuing saga of what’s going on with me….
Finally after jumping through more hoops than a show horse, the HOA lady finally advised last Thursday evening that she was sending our request to replace the HVAC to the “Architectural Committee” for approval (you can’t make this up). This afternoon we were advised the committee has approved it and she will send the “official letter” in a day or two. Whatever!
Now I guess the drywall guy comes and gives us his estimate for tearing out our ceiling so that the HVAC people can put part of the unit there (part goes on roof, part in ceiling) and then he will tear it out, they will put it in, and then he puts the ceiling back. Anyway we are waiting for him to contact us now.
Progress, at least.
Fun fact, the dude that wrote all over our ceiling to tell the drywall guy what was needed for the HVAC job is unable to spell ceiling. He wrote down cieling three times. I shake my head every time I see it which since it’s written in black on my white ceiling is every day.
More fun facts: Our sliding glass door out to our patio decided on its own it didn’t want to work anymore. Wouldn’t close and lock, so we had to stick a stick in it until we could get a company out to fix it. That guy came today (Monday). $275 later it is fixed.
Over the weekend I went on a lovely little wine tasting day trip hosted by a friend of ours. Had a lovely time. Like a dummy I sat in the great outdoor SO Cal sunshine wearing a tank top. I am FRIED. Hurts like the Dickens I am not going to lie.

In the continuing saga of my HVAC, HOAs suck! They are making us get the signatures of two neighbors to approve us replacing OUR HVAC. And then the HOA has to approve. But it’s all OUR responsibility. So more delays. Man I hope this is done before the worst heat of the summer.
I’ve written the first Christmas in July flash and it’s scheduled for the 3rd. I’m pretty sure NO ONE suggested it but it’s what I wanted to start with.
I am working on an update to Still the Best but I have errands today after work so it won’t get up until sometime tomorrow.

I also need to get the next very steamy chapter of The Wrong Captain done. Then I will take a small break from updates so I can start getting to Christmas in July stuff done.
Plus I am doing another casino trip this weekend. Just over Sunday night (my company gave us Juneteenth as a holiday this year) but still it’s another one. I am sure you guys are ready to call gambler’s anon. LOL. It’s the last one for a long time though. My next trip at the end of July is Morro Bay and no gambling at all. I have nothing else planned after that.
Anyway, I hope to get part 4 up tomorrow. J’s birthday flash is Wednesday and Thursday and Friday should be 5 and 6!
