So, what’s going on? I’m home today as I have today and tomorrow off work. I have to go back into the office on Wednesday and Thursday as we are “exempt” from the stay at home thing and I don’t have my laptop yet. My plan for those days is to scan my files electronically so that when I do get my laptop I have the necessary files to work at home. I honestly thing this stay at home thing is going to go through at least May. We shall see.
Watched Contagion last night. I’ve seen it before, years ago, when it was out, but man, it’s so similar to what’s happening now I think it was a mistake to watch it. It’s like a horror film really.
I am almost up to the 6,000 words for the Bang story. I plan on getting it to that point today. I am at 5,000 now. Once I reach the 6,000 I will get the next chapter of The Carrier up. Boy do we all need Spirk distractions right now!
Then it’s on to Just When I Needed You Most. So we will see what I can get done.
I have asthma so I am not going to lie, I’m concerned. I feel good. No fever or anything. But I am…still a little concerned. I will stay as safe as I can be.
I hope that you will too.

I don’t think I could handle watching a movie like contagion right now or ever LOL
My state just canceled all schools for the rest of the school year.
I’m trying not stay calm but now, I want to cry. I am a bit asthmatic myself so I do worry. I worry about everyone I live with too.
Hugs!

Yes scary times. No one is going to have a job when this is all done. Horrible. They extended LAUSD Schools to May 01 but our governor already said realistically school isn’t going back until Fall.
I’m not sure I handled watching it well. Outbreak was kind of fun because the science wasn’t all that but Contagion was very realistic.

At least you take it seriously and follow the directives as best as possible. Hard to believe there are still young people who don’t take it seriously. But youth rebels – that’s who they always are. R’s sister is like that. Still going anywhere she wishes, nobody’s gonna hold her back from doing what she wants. And she doesn’t even think to take care of her sick sister and mother.
I read that several spring breakers who demanded their rights to stay on the beach are now coming down with the virus.
If we won’t help ourselves, and we won’t help others…well, that’s to be expected.
Stay safe.

Yes I find people like R’s sister and those partying on the beaches and in party boats to be absolutely disgusting. What truly appalling human beings they are.

I keep telling myself….there are times I don’t feel well. I know you’re having the times too. But isn’t everyone really? Just the thought that this is happening to our entire planet’s people, and people are sick and dying near us, and people can’t visit their families, especially those in hospitals and nursing homes.
What kind of a person WOULDN’T be feel unwell in the face of all this tragedy?
And not just the purely human toll. It’s jobs and the economy, it’s medical institutions overrun and medical personnel having to work themselves into the ground to help whoever they can, even though there are no medications to help at all.
CHILD AND PARTNER ABUSE IS WAY UP. And we’re just starting all this.
Isolation, and all the other diseases we have to contend with.
Yeah, I can see where everyone but a heartless monster would have moments of not feeling well at the fact all these billions of people are out there.
And there’s not a thing we can do but stay out of the way and try not to get sick and not to spread the disease further.

Yes it’s unsettling to be sure. I have wondered over ever little headache or cough I have. I’ve taken my temperature when I never have before. Yes..feeling unwell and just scared and terrified for what comes next. And the economic disaster. Just horrible.

I can’t watch a horror movie in the best of times, certainly not that type of one now!
Hope your laptop comes in soon and you can work at home. I too have asthma and am concerned. Trying to stay off Facebook where there is so much depressing shit on it. I’m depressed enough without more input. 😦
Stay safe. And bring on the Spirk!

Oh it’s NOT a horror movie, lol. Not at all. I just meant it like one now because it’s so realistic about what’s happening with COVID-19, but it is not at all a horror movie.
Yeah the news is horrible right now but on the other hand I want to stay informed. It’s tough!

Stay well everyone. I was having a hysterical episode just awhile ago. I’m unable to convince my oldest daughter to come upstate and not just stay in her apartment in Brooklyn during this time. I looked at my Facebook messenger and someone had sent me an hysterical video just before my meltdown. I really needed the laugh.
I don’t think link connects. It’s hysterical. ❤️💚🖖😘
