Happy Thanksgiving Week everyone. I am off this week but still busy busy! Ha
I will try and get a Walk With Me for November done in the next day or so. I have been doing a lot of walking at work so I figure you don’t really want a bunch of buildings and cars, but I’ll take a walk in my neighborhood this week while I am off.
The other day we got rain and so I took this picture.
Speaking of my favorite guard at the office got fired Friday afternoon and we were all very very sad. Young kid too. He made a mistake, no doubt about it, but we all thought he should have been retrained and given another chance. But that didn’t happen and it sucks bad.
I feel kind of bad that I spoiled Wednesday’s Flash Fic for this week by posting it early so I am going to try super hard to get something going for this Wednesday. Cross your fingers.
I think I only have December 19, 23, 24 and 25 left to write for December. I am hoping to get those all done and scheduled this week so if I am not around a lot or very responsive you will know why.
Lest you think I am only a boozer, I decided to do the 12 Days of Teas too. Here is a picture of them. Very nice indeed!
I don’t know if anyone else does this, but I name my frozen turkey. Someone out there probably thinks that’s cruel or insane or whatever but here is Larry (yes Larry)
The best news is not getting up at 5 AM this week. Yay.
We are predicted to be cold and rainy on Thanksgiving if you can believe that. Two years ago, in 2017, when we went out to Ruth’s Chris is was 95! This year it’s supposed to rain and be 51! What a huge difference.

It really does suck about the guard. You know my feelings on that.
If you can get another fic up then yay!! If not then we understand. Bc you have us a treat by posting it early! And you’re killing it with the December fics. That’s a super extra good treat! I can’t wait to read a fic everyday!

Sorry about the guard. Sometimes when I read junk on tumblr, I think…wow, what are these people going to do when they actually get out of college and get a real job and see how their woke/entitled selves find themselves on the shelves because the real world doesn’t work like what they’re used to.
Hopefully they’ll learn the life lessons we all have to learn. I know every day I’m still learning them.
Ok, I have NEVER named a frozen turkey, unless I knew it personally when it was still walking.
I’m more given to have Lauraines rather than Larry’s, but still….
I might have named a few “juicy” and “delicious.”
Seeing something early doesn’t spoil the fic. It spoils us. I love being spoiled. Bring ’em on!

Yeah I mean he’s young so I can only hope he can bounce back and get another job. He has a great personality, so I hope that works in his favor. It’s a hard lesson for him, though.

Sheesh. Even turkey companies are “woke.”
Yeah, I learned many lessons working.
1. Make dang sure you don’t get your arm near the fryer (other employee at McDonald’s)
2. If you’re gonna be an effective whistleblower, keep all emotion off your face or they’ll can you before you get the goods
3. No matter how good you do in your job, earning the first of many sweepstakes in 34 years, they can can you for “not trying to be even better” because you don’t go to conventions because you’re in too much pain. Or because they have a hot shot person who’s better at it that they want to take your place. Who, after 3 years and 3 of those hot shots, still haven’t done better. (I WAS supportive – I wanted my kids to have the best).
4. Retirement is the absolute WORST job you’ll ever have, thanks to fraud and corruption in the government health care system and social security idiocy. But they punish you for getting a different job too soon.
So it’s not just the youth who learn from job mistakes. My latest one was at 65. Who knows what my next one will be…

I only have two days on this week and the rest off. 🙂 Going to uncles house Thursday like always. Although this will be the last this particialar house b/c they are moving
