The Hot Zone! Ha, actually this was from work yesterday. It’s very hot there in August. Usually 90-100 every day. Which is why I call it Woodland Hells (it’s Hills). We move from this location in late September to another location in Woodland Hells. Before 8, the park is shadedPurple flowering bush in the park, sometimes there are rabbits hiding in there but I couldn’t find any this morning to take a picture of them. Rascally things. The trees in the park are full and leafy now but come October, it should be a different story!The playground is empty now, the families don’t come out this early, but I do because it’s going to be beastly hot later! So gorgeous. Looks hot though. Hot here too, but nowhere near as hot a summer as they used to be. I LOVE climate change. I’ll take this one any time! All the rain we need and no 100+ weather. I remember 126 one summer and 2 more recent summers we went 60 days straight with over 100+ tempts. Fires everywhere, over and over.
We’ve now made it an entire 11 days straight without rain! First time in pretty much an entire year.
What kind of tomatoes are those? They are shaped like pumpkins! I’ve never seen any like that.
I’m so jealous. If I were on a deserted island the rest of my life, I’d be happy if I had all the fresh tomatoes I wanted, homemade vanilla ice cream, Coke, and your stories. Paradise.

We could use the rain here again. Hopefully this coming rainy season will be as good as last year’s but I am not holding my breath.
They are Marmalade Tomatoes. We got the plants at Tomatomania back in March. Aren’t they delicious looking? They are just as tasty too. They are shaped a bit like pumpkins!

Beautiful walk. You’re super smart to go out before it gets beastly. Get a good walk in, see the beauty, and not deal with screaming children.
Fall is my favorite, as you know. I can’t wait till the leaves start turning!
