I didn’t get to see Halloween today. I got a new laptop and Fedex wouldn’t deliver it without a signature so I ended up staying home. But M went to work. The two main freeways near us conspired so that there was no way for us to make a 5 O’Clock movie. He called me at 5:00 still in the city we both work from, some 30 miles away from home. Ah. well. I will try again next week!
I am in a serious funk. I did write a little more on my OMS story today but nothing else and no matter what I looked at I just felt nothing. I did get Where Do People Like us Float updated so you can expect that on Thursday morning. But otherwise…nothing. I feel bad, but not bad enough to force it I guess.
Friday and Saturday are filled up with that friend we are helping, so I am greatly looking forward to Sunday when I can finally relax.
We just had to pay a whopping property tax bill and everything is so damn expensive. Plus I am so sick of politics and our president and so many other things. It’s just so fucking depressing.
So anyway, please forgive me for not updating anything. I’ll keep trying.

It sucks man. I know it. And if you aren’t in the right headspace it’s hard to write. Better to wait until you’re feeling it than force something you aren’t happy with. I firmly believe that!
Bummer about missing the movie too. Hope it’s a go next week!

It’s really annoying that I can’t even go onto websites I normally go on to without seeing offensive political ads. Not only do I have to see this idiots anti-liberal ada on Huff Post FFS he’s not even up for reelection in my district! I am forced to endure his ads when we aren’t even voting in that race. FUCKER. I hate this crap, I am going to go crawl under a rock and die

I’m sorry to hear that you are in a funk! Take some time for you. I know how it goes. Hope you get to see Halloween soon. I don’t like that kind of movie, it disturbs me too much. Taxes- don’t get me started. Ours are outrageously high here. There was no way we can afford to live in our community after retirement. The taxes are too high, and we are still in midway through a 30 year mortgage. Sigh!! All I can see is a heap load of debt!!
Speaking of disturbing things, politics these days is really frightening. It’s incredible how much intolerance there is these days that is coming out of the woodwork!

Yeah these are dark days for those of us who believe in diversity and equality. We are definitely going backwards. It’s sad what we are leaving for the next generation.
And the cost of living is just astronomical.

On Facebook, I’ve made my conservative leaning friends restricted so they can’t see my stuff and I don’t let their shit pop up on my newsfeed, by opting out of their notifications.
The worst part is there are several tRumpettes at my job. I’m the supervisor at night and it can get awkward, to say the least. I just refuse to outwardly acknowledge their BS. But it gets me so upset inside. I guess I’m channeling my inner Spock at these times!

I find people very very frightening these days. The evil troll vitriol you see on twitter etc is just absolutely terrifying. We are in very dark days for anyone who is different than straight white people.
