In other news I signed up for the Old Married Spirk challenge this year. I did it in 2016 but not 2017. I intend to try for The Original Series Spirk as I think that’ mostly the intended though she allows you to write it for others. Would be kind of amusing to do Old Married Spirk Mirror Universe! HA. At this point I have zero ideas but I have until November.
The horrible heat has decreased though it’s still hot. I don’t have much planned for t his weekend coming up and that makes me happy!

Who is doing the OMS challenge? I mean which tumblr user? I know some people are crazy against new Trek, and a few who are too pro-Shatner specifically. I really love Shatner, like unnaturally love him LOL, but I’ve read posts lately from someone who for instance said they were thinking of going to his college (only because he went there and sorry that’s not a good enough reason) and then wax poetically about how handsome he is. I love OMS. I love the idea of someone loving me and adoring me into my old age. But I don’t actually look at Bill at 86 and think to myself he’s the most handsome man alive. When he was younger, he was the cats meow, but not nessesarily now. He oozes charisma when you’re in his presence, he looks fantastic for his age, he’s not however sexiest man alive. Spock obviously will beg to differ, LOL. Not sure why I’m ranting, I think just your comment about the person preferring TOS OMS made me think about it. At any rate, my rants mean nothing, LOL.

it’s PlaidShirtJim or whatever her name is, lol. I think she’s the one who always does it. She only does TOS as far as I know. She doesn’t care technically if you write AOS but considering she mentions TMP and all that I think she started it with TOS in mind. I don’t mind writing TOS I just don’t like to as much as I write AOS. I avoid people on tumblr who are against AOS. That’s why I left it before because I find certain people on there very disrespectful and not at all accepting as is the whole thing about Star Trek. Even now when I see reblogs of stuff I find offensive I cringe and try not to get my hackles up about it. I see TOS Kirk a lot different than many of them who want to frankly act as though he was a damn saint. I don’t find old Shatner particularly hot either, to be honest, and I think he was quite good looking in the 60s, but really I think he lost a lot of that in the 1970s. And I’ve never thought he was as hot as Pine. Now I am rambling, LOL. Anyway, I probably won’t write Old Man Sex (HA HA HA) anyway and it will be on the short side. And I think that person who wants to go to Shatner’s college sounds pretty damn scary, sorry.

Any Star Trek with Spock, Jim and company are my drug! I’ve loved Star Trek since 1972. Love all other Star Trek series as part of that mythology.
I met William Shatner a few years ago in NYC at a photo-op and signature event at the convention. He is charming and larger than life (not a body shaming comment)! He was sexy as a younger man, by Chris is far sexier than Bill ever was. Chris just seems like an overall (inside and out) beautiful man! I have yet to meet him, follow several different Chris Pine Instagram accounts to drool over photos and videos of him… Also photos of Zach. I started an Instagram account just to look at their photos!
My icon (profile picture ?) on ao3 is Spock, because I have tried to emulate his logical and calm approach to life. Emphasis on the word tried! Hasn’t always worked out! Although at work apparently, I have a reputation of being unflappable… a good characteristic as a nurse!

Yeah I met Bill in 2014. He was, er, not friendly. I wouldn’t say he was unfriendly but warmth didn’t exude from him. He was very funny on stage. To be fair he had fallen from his horse and was on crutches and a scooter. In his 80s. And still seemed in pretty good shape. He could have canceled but did not so I greatly respected him for that. I wouldn’t have traded the experience for anything.
I doubt I will ever meet Chris or Zach, for that matter, but I suspect Zach would be more likely. Chris always seems very busy and I know some fans at the Vegas convention claimed Chris doesn’t like Creation because they were mean to his dad. No idea if that’s true.

I think with Bill, it’s a mixed bag. He can be a little aloof, come off as a bit standoffish. I think it’s a mix of his age at this point (although he was a douche at times for sure when he was younger), and that he doesn’t exactly know how to cultivate normal relationships, the fact that he’s been a celeb for so long, treated as an icon for decades. I’m not sure Bill knows what “normal” is. I think his pysche is very complex. I think deep down he’s a bit insecure. I think he’s scared of failure. I think he’s going stronger then ever because he’s scared to slow down, of death. Bill is a force of nature. He’s an alpha male. I never used to think of his Kirk as a bottom, and after meeting him, I’ll never picture him that way because of Bill himself. Just as I think of Chris deferring to Zach/Spock because he seems that way in real life.
